Excellent steaks and nice but different concept as the waiters walk round and offer the various side-dishes. Wine list was good with a selection of European and South American wines... Reserving a table can be difficult and we had a short wait until a table was available, but the atmosphere of this French bistro styled restaurant and food was well... More

This is my favourite restaurant in Rio. We went (twice) two years ago and twice again on a recent visit. They don't take reservations. If you turn up between about 7.30 and 7.50 there should be tables, but by 8pm the restaurant is usually full. The quality was pretty much the same each time we went, although they somewhat overcooked... More

The place is simple and has the look of French bistro. The food is delicious and very well prepared. This is one of the five houses of Chef Claude. Whenever I'm in Rio de Janeiro to rest or work I manage to eat there. The price is good. The house works in a simple way. You choose a meat and... More

That is a nice meat restaurant!!! Great food, good wine menu, cold beer and a nice atmosphere make this place a wonderful spot to go in Rio de Janeiro. I had a lamb that was really good, but the sides dishes were the best part of the night!! It’s expensive, but it’s worth. I will go back every single time... More

Nothing's a bargain any longer in Brasil, and in fact, Brasil is now more expensive than many metropolitan places including Paris, New Orleans, San Francisco. The beef was very good, though the filet mignon was overcooked way past the medium rare ordered. The $US 30 hamburger was way overpriced though it did come with sides from the rodizio. Still, it... Hands down this was the best dining experience we enjoyed in Rio. CT bouchiere has a great vibe to it and the style (made to look like an old butcher shop) reminded us of one of our favourite restaurants in Beunos Aries, which was really an old butchershop converted to a Parrilla. Pretty much everything about our experience at CT... More

Fantastic meat and side dishes. You order the meat you want from the menu, and then they will keep coming with new side dishes. These you can choose or refuse as you like. Very friendly staff. Our favourite restaurant in Rio.

Very nice restaurant. We were very much hesitating to go after having read the reviews. We didn't feel like going so early just to get a table we did so anyway and got there at 19h. No other guests to be seen, only lots of staff eager to get your order! At 20h the first other guests dropped in, so... More

A restaurant with a very nice atmosphere and good quality of food although overall it’s quite expensive. The two of us paid R420 for a meal with wine not taking the most expensive dishes. That’s what you will pay for such a restaurant. If you are a true meat lover and go for the big steak you will need to... More
