Good for local

Quite tasty, some dishes are creative and nicely decorated. Price is a bit high but given its variety and the quantity, it is still accetable. The menu is fixed, cannot make order on food. Service is quite good, centrally located in downtown Overall, the lunch is okay.

Located in an old building downtown, this restaurant provides an unique gastronomic experience. A mix of Japanese and contemporaneous cuisine, with a good service, makes the restaurant a must for those who values good food. Don't be shy, if you like one of the dishes served continuously, order it again and it will be a pleasure for them to serve... More

Just as you sit down, you are enveloped by a very courteous service, that put before you such a variety of delicious appetizers, to enjoy while you choose the main dish of you choice. Very well served and great looking dishes, will have you dreaming on returning for more.

Why is this place not crowded to the roof? It is absolutly amazing! To find it you have to know excatctly where it is. Dont be fooled by the facade with closed windows and a deserted street. Bang on the door ring the bell, scream if you have to. You have to get in. They are serving a multi dish... More

First, to clarify, this is not a sushi restaurant, it's a contemporary fusion with some Japanese flavors and chopsticks. Once you are aware of that, you are ready to enjoy one of the best culinary experiences I had in long time. It is a rodizio, meaning that it's an eat as much as you can, but it's much more than... Well, after reading so many wonderful reviews about Hachiko and once in Rio last week, I took the chance and paid a visit. I must tell that my expectation was high but even adjusting it to the poor restaurant options in town, I do not believe that it is a top rated one. Place and service are OK and the... More

Do not expect a tradition japanese dining expeirence. This place has taken a brazian style on the sushi and has created something new. If you like sushi and want to try brazian food this is perfect. It's not cheap but it's a fun experience.

I really enjoyed the fusion of mainly japanese sushi with some local influences. The place is a little tricky to find, but once you are inside the service was attentive and efficient. Worth the effort to find the place to try something a little different.

Unusual tastes, fusion with Brazilian cuisine. A very good option to taste Japanese cuisine in downtown Rio.

If you can find the entrance of the restaurant, (sort of hidden doors between two sidewalk restaurants) walk upstairs to some exciting Japanese meal. Went in for a business luncheon and was impressed by the quality and creativity of the dishes served (degustation menu).
