One of the best japanese restaurants in rio. You must try their "hot philadelphia", it's really really good.
It's a creative and original japonese restaurant. Very well located at Leblon, the food combines a traditional japonese dishes with a new elements. The service is very correct and honest, in all means. The last time there, for example, the manager came to me to give me back a hundred reais they had charge me wrong two weeks before. It's... More
The japanese food at Togu is very very, very good. Both the sushi and sashimi but also the more creative dishes are superb. The space is slightly cramped, but they usually have a table available. It is a great option when Sushi Leblon is crowded or you just want something a little more low key.
I went to eat lunch @ Togu today and it was just terrible. The quality of the food has been going down for the last couple of years. Today the salmon had a poor aesthetic and it tasted mushy. It just did not look good. While we were in the middle of lunch, o cockroach came up behind us and... More
They didn't sit inside, they sat outside the restaurant, on the street tables - we can make sure there are NO INSECTS INSIDE but on the street we can't guarantee an insect will not appear, sometimes in the summer, specially after it rains in ANY RESTAURANT IN RIO it could happen. in regards to the quality of the food in... I am a regular to this place, and I have to say: this is, hands down, one of the best sushis in rio ! And if you`re looking to save some $$, ask about their discounted all-you-can-eat ! (normally available during lunch time) It is a small restaurant, but the service is great, the food is amazing, and the location... More
I live here and am a regular at Togu. Amazing food, good service and a great place for people watching. The cubos de namorado com banana e pupunha is my favorite ( fish with passionfruit, heart of palm and sliced bananas) Great lunch menus at great prices! ...and did I mention that the chef used to work at El Buli?
nice place -- pleasant staff -- and quality of fish as good as that at sushi leblon (without the attitude) -- liked it a lot.....
We ended up here after looking around Leblon and fell is love. Attentive service and creative fusion made a great pair and a wonderful evening with friends. The tuna steak over rice with mushrooms was delicious. They have a salmon appetizer that looks like a dessert but tasted like heaven.
We did not enjoy the Rio food much till we found Togu. This is a special sushi restaurant with good sushi selection and nice service. Location is cool. Owners are very friendly.
Loved the seared tuna on mushroom rice with an balsamic glaze. I hope they will considered expanding as its very well received the its customers.
