Best meal in Rio

We came for a very late lunch for our son's birthday whilst in Rio. The restaurant is within a lovely Relais & Chateaux hotel in the charming Santa Teresa district. Located in very "special" are where historical architecture accompany with slam, this place pretend to be one of the best fine dining location in Rio. It may be true. Service was great. Not all staff speak English but lady who served us (looks like manager there) was very helpful with fluent English. Wine selection is ok and moderately priced compare... More

We seek out Relais & Chateaux properties when we travel so we chose to stay at Hotel Santa Teresa and dine at Tereze while in Rio de Janeiro. The meal was solid, but it was not great. In comparison to the US, I would say it was a pretty good value for the portion sizes. We shared a lobster appetizer.... More

Abysmal. So we travelled over 30 minutes by car to eat here. Amazing reviews and promises of a gastronomic extravaganza: who wouldn't, right? WRONG. Having had the fortune and opportunity to have eaten at some of the best restaurants in the world without any problem, we didn't think Teresa, the restaurant at this five star hotel billed for its culinary... We have lived in Brazil for over two years and eaten at a number of restaurants in Rio, Sao Paulo, Brasilia and elsewhere. This was without a doubt the best restaurant meal that we have had in Brazil. Tereze is within walking distance of the B&B where we were staying. we went to Tereze at the recommendation of our hosts... More

The food is amazing. The view is gorgeous. The service is awesome. What else can you want for a dining experience? Highly recommend the sample desert plate, with a combination of flavors from Brazil!

One of the best in Rio. Perched high on the hill in St. Teresa this restaurant in the Relais de Chataux hotel is really excellent. beautiful views, great food, attentive, but low key staff. The right balance. No rushing here. Take it easy and chill out. Superb. Quite expensive. But veruy much worth it. Bravo.

Linked to the Hotel Santa Teresa. Very nice design for this restaurant. The food is also excellent. Good service. Rather high prices. To be combined with the discovery of Santa Teresa, a very nice part of Rio. A lot of bars in the street next to the restaurant.

Entering the restaurant gave me the feeling of expecting a great evening but we were disappointed from the start. We thought we'd booked a table on the terrace ( from pictures on the web), but there was no outside space in the restaurant. The starters were great but then the main meals were a shambles. Nothing was tasty and the... More
