My wife and I came here to meet up some friends. We arrived before our friends and went to the restaurant reception desk to ask about the reservation. Unfortunately we faced a very rude and unhelpful receptionist. She did not bother to look properly into the reservation book and let us standing there with total disregard, saying that there was... Contrary to some other diners, we had a lovely afternoon at Santa Teresa hotel, and thoroughly enjoyed a very gourmet meal at Tereze. We were charmed by the use of Brazilian woods, and local artistes work displayed tastefully around the property. The dining room is quaint with the old world feel yet showing modern lines and style. We found the... More

Reagan and I stayed in Chateaux hotel where this Restaurant is located. We must say that the restaurant was disappointing mostly for the service or lack of. The bar/club was nice and the Hotel was exceptionally nice, however the restaurant needs some work in the way of service. They ended up removing one of the plates because we showed dissatisfaction... I have been here at least a dozen times over the past years and my experience has remained the same. On a positive note, at least they are consistent...consistently poor. Consistently poor service, overpriced food and wine and long waits for food. The only redeeming quality of this place is the pleasantly decorated dining area with a nice view of... More

The main reason for choosing this restaurant was to have a good lunch with what we expected was a spectacular view. First all shades were down so the view was nonexistant. Second the service was poor. We had to wait a long time to order and when the waiter started to take our order he suddenly excused himself to come... More

This restaurant, part of the Santa Teresa Hotel, offers highly sophisticated food in a beautiful setting with great views of Rio down the hill. Everything was freshly prepared; it felt like we were being specially catered to by a personal chef.

This is the Santa Teresa Hotel restaurant. We stayed at the hotel twice and ate there twice. The food is fantastic. We ordered just about everything (big eater) and found them all to be excellent. Price is on the high side, but compared to top notch restaurants in the states, it is a bargain.

It can take a little time to get the restaurant depending on where you are staying, but the hotel, bar and restaurant are well worth the trip. We were fortunate enough to have a table near the windows, which really adds to the occasion, being able to look over the darkened streets of Santa Teresa. The restaurant itself has been... More

This being a Relais Chateau property, I had high expectations, which were not disappointed in the food, but sorely disappointed in service. There was no host/hostess, and patrons who came in had to either wait to be ignored, or go hunt after waiters to get seated. The wait staff could not explain the menu, and kept saying "no" to orders... More

Amazing food, service and taste! The restaurant atmosphere is lovely and while dining you can admire the beautful view of the city. The maître was a great help while choosing what we were going to have for diner as everything on the menu looks delicious! We tried the Charlotte de langoustine, the goat cheese, lamb rack and lobster served with... More
