A different type of Brazilian food.

Tried a few different smaller dishes to get a taste of more type of food available. None disappointed. Various seafood cook in a Amozonian herbs and technique. Definately different but super tasty. If there is a criticism th je main wad the weak link just because everything else was do good.

On our 6 weeks in various South American countries, we've had some fabulous food but unfortunately this experience was very average. We'll start with the positives: PROS: Friendly, welcoming staff with an English menu; attentive staff and prompt service; unlike some countries, restaurant is open from about 630 pm until late so that suits a variety of customs; centrally located... We arrived here just as the restaurant was closing. The staff still welcomed us in and seated us with an english menu, they helped explain the different menu options and recommended local dishes. The menu is varied and offers healthier options than most places we'd tried in the area. The food was delivered in good time and we had the... More

This was probably one of the best and most exotic foods that I ever tried. The best plate was an amazonic fish "pirarucu" with Brazilian nuts. Very light but amazing. The cucine is mostly Amazonic and Bahiana. The place is simple and small so I recommend to book it before. If you can choose the tables in the balcony you... More

I always go with my family to this restaurant. Firstly, the place. Santa Tereza is a neighborhood seated in a hill, with beautiful views of Rio de Janeiro. The climate there is unique. Second, the food is quite creative, the ingredients are very fresh, and it mixes a lot of Brazilian flavors. Don't miss the "Namorado da Viúva", which is... More

Our first night in Santa Theresa and this was recommended to us. For a family of 4 with 3 vegetarians this place worked out great. Everyone ate well and the food was so inventive and flavorful. It was relatively quick by Brazilian standards and the service was excellent.

Four of us tried this restaurant in the Santa Teresa neighborhood of Rio. We had an absolutely delightful time. We met the owners, had nice conversation and received recommendations from them as to what to try. We went witht he hamonado de caboca and crab plantains, as well as main courses. For a cocktail we tried Satere Maie -- al... More

This was one of the restaurants on our list and we were quite excited about it.... Unfortunately, there was no atmosphere (no music at all), the food was ok, but our dishes were very greasy...Our mains were a paella style rice and literally they were swimming in oil. We paid quite a lot for the meal and that was just... More

It is sad that we wasted a night eating here, our shared starter of crab was very tasty, however both our mains were nothng like the menu, fried fish instead of grilled fish was very oilly and the Brasilan Sqash with ....peanuts, cashews and ginger had none of them! And I asked the English speaking waiter he shrugged, smiled and... More
