Delicious food AND Great ambiance

Very nice staff, service and ambiance. Air condicioning makes a difference! The contemporary cooking using ingredients from the Amazon is extremely creative and tasty! We were there for lunch on a Sunday but it seems that after 5pm there is some sort of live music. We highly recommend it!

Four of us tried this restaurant in the Santa Teresa neighborhood of Rio. We had an absolutely delightful time. We met the owners, had nice conversation and received recommendations from them as to what to try. We went witht he hamonado de caboca and crab plantains, as well as main courses. For a cocktail we tried Satere Maie -- al... More

This was one of the restaurants on our list and we were quite excited about it.... Unfortunately, there was no atmosphere (no music at all), the food was ok, but our dishes were very greasy...Our mains were a paella style rice and literally they were swimming in oil. We paid quite a lot for the meal and that was just... More

It is sad that we wasted a night eating here, our shared starter of crab was very tasty, however both our mains were nothng like the menu, fried fish instead of grilled fish was very oilly and the Brasilan Sqash with ....peanuts, cashews and ginger had none of them! And I asked the English speaking waiter he shrugged, smiled and... More

Beautiful setting, wonderful food, delightful wine and a generally amazing experience. When in Rio, go eat here!

The good news, and hence the 3 rating: Food is edible The bad news: Pricey for what it is, and I could not tell you one thing we ate - and we had multiple courses. Altogether very disappointing. This is one of those 'trendy' new places that purports to have authentic Brazilian cuisine (not) and that hotels recommend because word... More

Sad to review this place we have been in 2008. Extremely expensive for a poor quality. May be it was the Carnival season. This is a how-to-loose-customer effective policy. OK, we have arrived late, by 11p.m. but it was not by that fact that the music should be turned off, or the meal was tasteless. There are other options at... More

We really enjoyed this restaurant. Better value than other Amazonian restaurants nearby, and more creative in terms of ingredients and presentation. The fish parcel dish and the chocolate dessert accompanied by Amazonian fruits were both amazing. Service was happy and perfectly accommodating of our non-Portugese speaking background.

I chose the restaurant based on a) convenience (it was next to my hotel which unfortunately did not serve dinner) and b) it came highly recommended in my travel guide. I had been pre-warned that it was very over-priced, but being my first day in Brazil and still working the very good pound to BRD conversion I decided to give... More

We decided to go there after walking the tiled steps up to Santa Teresa. We wanted an early dinner and entered the restaurant at 6pm on a Saturday. It was pretty empty and not only could we choose our seat but we had very nice and attentive service. We decided to sit in the below restaurant which was cute and... More
