Some quick words and tips for this restaurants: 1. First on the down side. You cannot book a table at this restaurant. The only thing you can do is show up, and put your name on the waiting list. Some people take 15 to 30 minutes, just stay for just a drink or can sit and eat for hours. So... More

One of the best experiences I've ever had in a restaurant. Food is delicious, combination of flavor is surprising: highlight for the feijoada cake. You can't have enough of it! The beer selection is amazing and service is also very good. Make sure you arrive early on the weekends and spend as much time as you can tasting their great... More

Aconchego is an excellent place for tasting the traditional brazillian food and some tipical "boteco" food from Rio. It's a simple but nice place and they already have an excellent beer list . Excellent choice in Rio de Janeiro

The taxi ride was about 40 minutes from Leblon. The food was good at best. The appetizer was good but the main course which was steak was dried out. I expected more from the write-up and the long taxi ride. There are a lot of great restaurants in Leblon so save the taxi fare.

This place is great. We were a tad worried driving up, but we were pleasantly surprised once inside. It is everything the other reviews claim it to be: authentic atmosphere, NO tourists (except us!), great beer selection, and AMAZING food. When you add in the super nice staff and the fact that our waiter's English was quite good, it was... More

Okay, I'll write it in English because it's not quite hard for a Brazilian know that their food is outstanding and the beer menu quite extensive. There are reviews everywhere about this place and it has already become a traditional Sunday lunch venue. Let's start with the fact that is located in place that's not quite touristic. A little bit... More

Great place to go. It's not near to the tourist area but I highly recommend this place, specially if you are beer fan. They have Brooklyn Lager, ALE, IPA, Duvel, a pretty good collection of international beers. Finger food are great too. I recommend you to do seightseeing in Downtown and afterwards go to this place.

The taxi ride to aconchego is a little unconventional. It´s far of the turistic circuit. But the thrill is worth it!In this simple neighborhood, you´ll have some of the best brazilian dishes.Try the superb "Bolinho de Feijoada" or "Bolinho de Bacalhau com Grão de Bico" or the "Mini Moqueca", and you´ll taste true happiness. They also have a unique selection of beers from... Went with two friends who were visiting Rio, from London, and was surprised by the quality of this bar/restaurant. We had the - now - traditional "Feijoada dumplings" which were just perfect! All the ingredients of this brazilian traditional dish finely compressed into one dumpling! For main we shared one portion of the pork ribs with Goiabada sauce and angú... More
