The pizza was good, but really small and thin. The orange juice was not good, the waiter were not friendly.
We ate there as soon as we got to our a Hotel in Copacabana Beach (Windsor Copa Hotel a block from La Trattoria). It was pretty great. Very nice Italian food and great portions. Wine and deserts were not as good as the main plates.
The place was crowded which was a good sign then food arrived and the quality was average, waiter Luis was on top but neither of us was please with the meal. If you skip this place you won't miss it
Ate here twice while in Rio. Just one block south of the Copacabana Palace Hotel. Not the largest place but big enough. Service is quick. Both times there we had the spaghetti carbonara. It is great! Also had a nice salad with lettuce, tomatoes and onions. It was a big portion. They only serve beer on tap and wine. Both... More
I recommend the spaghetti with truffles and German cake. Amazing. I've been coming here for 15 years and only eat those selections. Highly recommend...
Wow, an Italian restaurant across from my Hotel. Biggest mistake to dine here. Chuckled at first at the Sgt. at Arms guarding the door and directing guests to their tables. 'No, you can't sit here, sit there!' Would make a Marine Drill Instructor whimper. Down hill from there. Waiter said no Chianti available by the gloss, bottle only. Dining alone,... More
Delicious homemade pasta reasonably price. Start with a pizza for an appetizer. We did not have anything we didn't like. Get there early because by 8:00 the place is packed with people waiting for tables. Tables are close and many regulars who seem to have been coming for a long time, (always a good sign) Good wine prices.
There are few times when I can't just choke something down. This was recommended by our hotel, they were really wrong. I have eaten in italian restaurants in many countries. I have never had penne Arriabiata that was syrupy, sticky, brown and sweet. I have made this pasta myself hundreds of times. this was by far the most disgusting version... More
Been here a few times over the year. Always good service in a active dining room. Food is pretty good. Not the best italian i ever has but pretty good and solid. The cheesecake desert is good too. Would recommend it for italian if you are on copacabana. 1/2 block off the beach.
Small interior, but thankfully we got the last table upon arrival. I had lasagna Bolognese, my date had a chicken/shrimp in green curry and coconut milk (special). Normally i avoid crossing genres like this, but I've learned better than offering my opinion on such matters. My lasagna was superb, and surprisingly the curry was better that at some Thai places...
