Read to the end for a special tip... Will start by saying this is one of those life time dinning experiences and you get what you pay for ... so do not come here to save money. While you can go a la carte, I recommend doing one of their multi course options. The unique fusion food combining Brazil (mainly... More

In short food quite good, service and experience terrible. Firstly we arrived and were placed in a largely empty restaurant right by the door away from anyone else so we asked to move. We were told we couldn't so not the best of starts. 10 minutes later the manager's friends turned up and were placed by the door next to... More

We had a lovely meal at Le Pre Catalan. High level cuisine with an high price bill. The food was very good, the staff very attentive - possibly slightly too attentive but it was a quiet night. Decent portions of good food. The mixture of tastes from France and Brazil were a novel mix. Decent wine list but high mark... More

It's an extraordinary gastronomic experience but the price is also extraordinary. The chef mixes excellent French cuisine with unique Brazilian tastes. The list of wines is absurdely expensive.

While hidden inside a large hotel, this restaurant has maintained its greatness for many years, especially thanks to chef Roland Villard, French turned carioca after so many years in this country. Well, this restaurant is always very good and now I had experienced the Gastronomic Journey to Amazonia menu. Loved, is very typical, refined, with many innovations and really surprising.... More

Nice reasonably priced food, with outstanding service. Although not all wait staff speak English, there was always someone there who did so speaking is not really a problem. The staff could not be nicer. Great basket of bread to start, and nice options. The restaurant overlooks Copacabana beach with magnificent views.I ate here several times during my business trip to... The Amazonía Menú is great and very different, service was excellent and the choice of wines very good, other choices like a weekly 4 courses menu are a very good alternative

We finally decided to go there to try out what is by Rio de Janeiro standards the best and indeed it is - the Menu Gourmand is delicious with moments of brilliance such as with the Quenelles with foie gras and mushrooms - the service is delightful with very nice staff - Roland, the chef makes sure he gives attention...
