Well executed food, relaxed environment, good service

One of the best restaurants in Rio ran by the chef of a former head of state. We ordered the smaller menu degustation and every dish was perfectly executed. The Brazilian espumante (frizzy) was superb. The service unintrusive but attentive and the place was relaxed, not uppity which is great in... read more

The Brazilian espumante (frizzy) was superb. The service unintrusive but attentive and the place was relaxed, not uppity which is great in these modern days, as we all need to de-stress... More

Was very excited about visiting this restaurant as it has the reputation as one of the best restaurants in Rio, and it is - but it's not really special or memorable as I would expect for 1 Michelin star. We had the 5-course 'Experience' menu - one of the good things is they can also do this menu for vegetarians,... More

Located just off Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, this eponymous restaurant was my first fine dining experience in the city. I ate on a Wednesday evening, previously making reservations via e-mail approximately one month before. It’s a long hike from Santa Theresa to this part of the city, but once you get here the location is well lit with the appropriate... More

Incredible food, ambiance and service.. Just way expensive. Every single item served was superb; nothing was less than spectacular. Would have been great to have spent US$100 less

If you're looking for a Michelin star dining experience in Rio on par with the best of SF, NYC, or Paris, this is unfortunately not it. We had the 9 course tasting. Honestly, I think the restaurant does best with it's 3 or 5 course options which I noticed most of the locals having. First, the positive - impeccable service... More

I was guided to Roberta Sudbrack by San Peregrino guide as the only one restaurant in Rio to the in the top 50s of latinamerica. The restaurant was fine and the service very good. We had the 9 courses tasting menu. The first surprise was that having a tasting menu, they do not have a wine pairing option, so we... More

We had a great evening here. The dessert with the caramell and pastry sticks with apple was amazing! Very good value for such a nice restuarant. It was great to sit and watch the kitchen staff working. Roberta was there herself and it looked like she got into the action in the kitchen togehter with her staff - nice to... More

Loved The atmosphere and the food there. Roberta is a top chef, with a vast experience in that kind of culinary. Just keep on the degustation mode and you'll love it! So so so recommend!!

If you're visiting Rio from abroad and want to try authentic Brazilian ingredients prepared by the hands of one of the best chefs in the world, this is your place to have dinner.

I'm surprised by the lack of vegetables, considering the season, variety available in Brazil and a contemporary culinária movevement towards eating more "green". Seems Roberta is still cooking for fat, brasilian politicians. The cheese was brasilian and awful, without a grape, a slice of pear or apple. The fruit in the dessert, on the other hand, was not(!) brasilian -... More
