I like this place for a simple lunch, in case you want a quality food fast food...this is a great option. The location is fabulous and if you want a good food and good price, the Couve Flor is one of the best Buffet in the city.

A great choice of meals (salads, pasteis, vegetables...), tasty food for reasonnable prices. Unfortunatelly, sometimes pasteis are a bit dry... But "bananas a milanesa" are the best thing I've ate here! You should really taste those ones.

Couve Flor is located conveniently close to a location I visit often, so I have been to the resdtaurant quite a few times. The food is of very consistent quality, everytime I really enjoyed the food. The selection is uneven: the salads and dessert buffets are quite rich and delicious, the grill stand offer two or three varieties, but the... More

If you have worked up an appetite while hiking around the Jardim Botanico Couveflor may be an option for you to consider. To get to Couveflor from the Jardim, exit through the rear gate at the end of Aleia John Wills. Couveflor s your slightly above average Brazilian buffet. It is certainly popular with the locals as there was a... More

Cauliflower is a por kilo restaurant where you weight your food and are charged per kg (it was about 60 reals/kg). It's located around the corner from Jardim Botanico, and is crowded with locals (always a good sign). Although they didn't speak English they put all the effort to make us feel comfortable and explain how the buffet worked (e.g.... More

I frequent kilo restaurants in Rio since I live here and don't cook. Was looking forward to trying Couve Flor after reading reviews. Went today and have to say that it was very disappointing. Very small selection compared to most kilo restaurants and the food that they did have was not spectacular by any means. In fact, I'd easily put... More

Besides being a rare option in Horto, this "self service"restaurant is expensive for what it takes. If you walked a lot in jardim botânico or climb the mountains to the waterfalls in horto, that might sounds a great deal. good salad bar, meats, pasta, rice and benas... but the price is wayyyyy too expensive for that. I just spent R$120,00... More

This is the BEST comida a quilo (a kind of restaurant where you WEIGH your food and pay-per-kilo) in Rio ! The ambiance is nice, the service is good and honest, the FOOD is AMAZING (it does not feel at all like a KILO restaurant, it feels as HOME-MADE). That being said, this is not the best value. It is... More
