Good seafood with a great view!

I went to Point the Grumari last week to have lunch with a group of 10 foreigner friends from USA, Scotland and Australia. Unfortunately the weather was not good, but even so we enjoyed the place a lot because of the amazing views! As we arrived early we could have a good table and service and we... read more

After being on Grumari beach we ended up having lunch here more by accident and were very happy with our choice of fresh grilled fish and octopus. Our waiter was very patiend and kind explaining everything to us and answering all our questions. The views were wonderful and we had a great time and cold beer (other than our driver)... More

Like other restaurants in the Guaratiba, some seafood dishes are served in this popular place. The food (moqueca, caldeirada) is only OK, but you can always find a table for a hungry family there. Brand bear available. Live music with extra charge.

Really fresh seafood. Beautifull view. Not fancy. Reasonable prices. Good service. However far from the south part of Rio but it is worth the trip! Take a couple hours and combine it with relaxing at Grumari beach before going or Sitio Burle Marx...

I went with my wife and parents to celebrate my mother anniversary and it was a good experience because of our celebration mood :) It was a sunny wednesday, the restaurant was pretty much empty but even so the service was quite slow. I recommend the experience specially for foreigners beucause of the view but don't expect to eat a... More

We went to Point de Grumari for lunch after our day at Prainha on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant is situated up in the mountains and the drive there was curvy with narrow roads. It's definitely a popular restaurant as when we arrived, there were plenty of people inside as well as waiting outside. The restaurant hostess was super kind... More

If you are in Rio and have time for a short trip, you must go to Point de Grumari! Try a “Caldeirada” (made with seafood) and you won’t regret! It was the best caldeirada of our lifes – very tasty, well seasoned and very well served. We were in group of 4 good eaters and ordered a Calderada for 4,... More

We came here as part of our day trip from Rio visiting the Burle-Marx House and Pontal Folk Museum. The reviews indicated this would be a really great meal. The meal was ok, but the atmosphere is more like a snack bar. We ate pastels and shrimp so we did not try an elaborate meal or a full cooked fish.... More

Rio is huge. So while it is technically correct that this restaurant is in Rio, it is about 45km from the city center. The last 10km of the drive are worth it for the view itself. The road curves though the costas plains before climbing to the restaurant, which is located on a hard curve with the most picturesque view... More

This weekend we went to lunch at this restaurant. My daughter ordered a grilled salmon, which she did not find tasty and left almost everything on the plate. I tried and did not like it. The problem was that at night she fell ill and vomited a lot. Would not recommend.
