I went there with a friend to treat her for her birthday. We both order fish, of course, and had white wine. We went on a weekday, so it was very quiet, and all the peace was for ourselves. The fish was very good. We ate looking towards the sea. It was very calmed. The waiter was very nice to... More

Ate there Monday night...2 days later, my credit card had been duplicated and R$1500 stolen. Called the manager to complain, they did not care. Terrible customer service. Beware! Follow them to the register when using your card.

Great location along the secluded end of Ipanema beach. It is an informal place with a great view of Ipanema and Leblon. It is worth coming here at sunset for a beer...AND THAT IS IT! BEWARE OF THE FOLLOWING: 1) the food is poor and outrageously priced, 2) the drinks are now well prepared, so stick to beer, 3) there... More

Went to this restaurant after a sunset on Arpoador and after it was recommended by one of the locals. Prices were a bit higher than we have seen so far (R$70+ per dish'), but if the food is good it's worth it. The service was good and the presentation (food on the plate) was even great. It looked delicious. However,... More

We ordered simple pastas, pastels, and appetizers, and despite other reviews, the food was fine. What makes this place a "very good" is the setting sun and view. What a setting sun and view!!!! We sat right by the beach and the people watching was as much fun as the view. There were musicians, jugglers, dancers, (all passing the hat)... More

Awful awful awful! We arrived at 9pm and there was no others dining in the restaurant.. This should've been a sign but we were recommended this place. We ordered the crab in its shell ... It was crab served hot with cheese and herbs and was not in it's shell. I had a mouthful and didn't eat anymore, next was... More

I guess after being in Brazil, we should have known better than to go to a seafood place. Brazilians are known for their meat! The view was obviously great, but the food was okay at best. They were very accommodating to us, even with the language barrier. That said, the service was slow and the food did not merit the... More

**SCAM ALERT** Azul Marinho Bar and Restaurant Following a bloco (street party) in Ipanema, I was walking back to my hotel, The Arpoador Inn, when I spotted a little guy with a shoe shine kit. I had read about this scam on the internet before I came to Brazil, so I tried to keep well away from him as I... More

This was the best meal I ate in Rio. It is located on a great little street right in front of the beach. Great views and good people watching. At the end of the street you can walk up a small mountain and get a great view of the surrounding beaches and scenery including rocks and jump points. I got... More
