We went dining last sat, the place itself it is a bit tacky in the deco. Looking at the menu I have soob reasized that was quite expensive ( 65 reais for 1 dish of cevice when in Ipanema you can have it for less than a half the price). Service was kinda slow and the deco of the table... More

I'm Peruvian so I know what the cuisine is and I don't know why people are giving them high marks for something so below mediocre. This is more of a moderation to the taste of the locals and those who do not know what real Peruvian cuisine is, plus it was far too expensive for something so bad. For example,... More

I'm Peruvian -American and I'm working at the World Cup, I was starving to eat my Peruvian Food. Many loco people tell us about this place. I order a plate Called 5 Ceviches , it was horrible 5 ceviches means 5 flavors or 5 different peppers or chilies. It was all one flavor but they put a little bit of... More

This is by far the best ceviche in Rio! If you don't mind the slow service and the scanty waiters you will love it! Highly recommend it!

If you want enjoy a great Peruvian meal, at Intihuasi you will for sure find the real cuisine from Peru. The restaurant is very small and not in a great area, but the food compensate all, as they serve the "Best" Ceviche, the main meals also have the favor you want find from Peru. Don't exitate and just ask for... More

The restaurant is small but has a pleasant atmosphere. The food is good, not exceptional, however it is overpriced for the quality and also for the service, as the waiters are not attentive.

Just been to Intihuasi, situated in the neighbourhood of Flamengo, on a street just off Guanabara Bay. I was surprised with the quality and variety of the food. In a rather shabby two-storey building Chef Margarita Sayan from Peru has created a warm, friendly and interesting restaurant decorated with books, articraft and pictures. The portions were of good size compared... More

This restaurant offers typical peruvian dishes. I had a tamales mix as a starter and a lomo saltado as the main dish. Both were good. I also had a Pisco Sour. After eating excellent food at other restaurants in Rio, including Lima Restobar, I was expecting however, something comparable to Gastón Acurio, the great Peruvian cook. This was not the... More

Pisco sour was best part of the evening, vedy well done but pricey @R19. Lomo Saltado was very disappointing. Excesive gravy and seemed to have an asian influence?? Not what I was hoping for or wanted. Ceviche was just OK, but way overpriced. Have had better Peruvian food in the US at better prices. Arrogant condescending waiter. Wish i'd gone... More

After trying to book by phone and having dealt with the rudest receptionist I've ever had on the phone, we were craving Peruvian food strongly enough that we decided to give Intihuasi a try anyway. We were greeted and sat upstairs by an apathetic waiter who seemed bored out of his mind. He didn't offer us any drinks we ordered... More
