Taste good

Asked for a oil and garlic pizza. Really good taste. Price is ok for the area. The service is a little slow (but it's slow in all Rio, I may say!). Their touch of kindness is that they serve you a slice of your ordered pizza and take the rest of the pizza back to the oven, so you always... read more

This is a well known place in Leblon. Well known for its location and for very late night service. However, heavy food, average pizzas, average service. Nothing special

The pizza there is not very good, but if you are "as drunk as a skunk" (Brazilian expression) and need a place to eat in the south zone of the city, Guanabara might be a lifesaver. Otherwise, choose somewhere else.

Custormers at this place think they are the upper crust of society and go there for a terrible pizza just to see people and be seen, and maybe see a papparazzi here and there. Sad scene.

I love Guanabara. Also known as "baixo Leblon" if you take a taxi, this place is buzzing 24/7. I always prefer to go to eat after 2AM, because the people watching is spectacular. Line up at the restaurant entrance for a table on the terrace. You might wait up to 30 minutes, but no one will blame you if you... More

The Lapa location is known for having been shut down by PROCON (the Brasilian consumer protection agency) recently (January, 2013) due to a cockroach infestation, food past pull date, and waste food in its kitchen, and the manager was actually arrested. In Leblon, the Pizza Guanabara was closed by sanitary inspectors in October, 2010, after finding cockroaches in the kitchen... More

My wife and I ate here on a recommendation from a local friend that this was the best pizza in Rio and an old tradition. We were very disappointed with the quality of this pizza, thicker than most of the better gourmet pizzas available in Zona Sul, and with a thick layer of cheese. The toppings were not of particularly... More

Very popular local meeting place. The food, including the pizza, is good but not great and offers fair value. Where this place excels is in its atmosphere as a local meeting place, especially during evenings and weekend and holiday daytime. Dinner in the restaurant section offers standard fare at appropriate prices with solid professional service.

If you get there a little early after the bars close you miss the rush and can get a table with out a wait. Pizza is delicious at 4:30 am.!!

Good pizza in Rio.... we had three - cheese, pepperoni, and mushroom. The cheese pizza was admitedly the best. The mushrooms clearly came from a can. The bread rolls with cheese inside were every good - as was the service. Like every restaurant in Rio, it was pricey.
