Honest run of the mill food.

This restaurant always serves consistent average food and a nice cold draft. Nice place to go on a sunny Sunday after the beach.

After our long review and patient staff waited for us to review the menu, we ordered the Rosti potatoes. The staff did not hover over us impatiently waiting for us to order as in other restaurants did. We tried the stuffed rosti; both chicken and beef. The beef was shredded, which is not my favorite, but the food was delicious... More

Of course it is a boteco, so you cannot expect great tablecloth or posh dishes. You come here to eat their specialty: picanha na chapa! So I have a nice time, in general for lunch and cook my own picanha in the "chapa" they bring to your table, with a nice beer.

We had been twice to this place and the food is ok, regular brazilian food but the service has a lot to say, it takes a lot of time to take your food and the way the waiters serve you is really poor, I recommend to go to the other side of the same block at Rua Joana Angelica and... More

Had a nice medium pepperoni pizza and a coke, quite quickly served. 43 Reals is not cheap for a quick bite!! The noise in that restaurant is terrible!!!

Got lazy and wanted to eat in so we ordered a galeto (small rotisserie roasted chicken; a Rio specialty), farofa and a salad. The salad was good, the farofa was excellent, but the gale to was only OK. Maybe it would have been better warmer and in house. It's good, don't get me wrong, but we are galeto enthusiasts...

Despite of it's good location this restaurant is far to correspond it's neighbourhood. The price is expensive for the sort of food they serve. At the end our bill were even overcharged in R$40,00 as we checked our bill and they add things we have not asked.

We were very hungry and my husband said, we try the first restaurant who appears 'cause we are in Ipanema :) By the same reason I think people get afraid to try the good ones & pay a lot. We paid too much for war food. I asked for some pastels and one of the specials of the day. Disaster... More

This is a good local, small and simple restaurant... it's great for sharing with friends... try the classic brazilian grilled meat "picanha", but don't expect the best of your life... the concept is like going to your local restaurant around the corner to chat with friends at night and have a tasty picanha with beer

Staying in Ipanema

Neighborhood Profile
Ipanema is considered Rio's crown jewel. It offers the best view of the sunset from Arpoador and is inspiration for the legendary song, “The Girl from Ipanema.” Ipanema is an upscale area, home to many high-end restaurants and luxury shops, many of which can be found on the charming Garcia d'Ávila Avenue. The neighbourhood is very rich culturally, housing many art galleries that show contemporary art. There is also a great variety of nightlife in the neighbourhood, which buzzes with many options for every taste.
