Very pleasant, unpretentious, good and amicable service, good and consistent food. Surely one of my favorites in Rio.
Our recent dinner at Guimas was terrific. One of our best dining experiences in Rio. The restaurant is on the smaller side. Very comfortable. Good service. Filled with diners who seem to know the waiters well. There are also a few tables outside. It reminds us a bit of a Paris bistro. In Brazil. We ordered principally dishes from the... More

Guimas is good at both locations, though I prefer the one located at Sao Conrado's Fashion Mall Food Court. Excellent food and service, price slightly above average.

Brazilian cuisine with a touch of class. Delicious and superb food, impeccable service. Nice and light environment. Pricey, but certainly one of the classiest places to eat in Rio.
The restaurant in Gavea is the original but there is also one in Ipanema and Fashion Mall. I have always had a great meal here. They have great service and the atmosphere is always good.
20+ yrs old this is a carioca classic. food is mediocre, but it is a charming spot great for dates. try the other location in ipanema.
