Polis Sucos and Bebe Lanches practically launched the Açai (Brazilian anti-oxidant berry) in the 1970's and still thriving. There, at Polis Sucos, the service is fast and you can go from a simple juice to the most extraordinary fruits such as cupuaçu or graviola. It's a great place to run into health enthusiasts and meet up with friends whom you... More

This it THE place in Rio to get your fresh juice fix! They have all kinds of fruit on the menu and acai con abacaxi is my favorite!

Always busy place and seems to be very popular with locals. The Acai, though super fattening, is delicious. The juices are good as well. The servers are pleasant and friendly. Indeed an institution in Rio.

You can count on Polis Sucos for a quick lunch break from the beach. The juices are great (I enjoyed the tutti fruiti), and the chicken sandwich and cheeseburger were a hit for us! Way better than fast food, and just as fast!

I've had an acai smoothie almost everyday I was in Rio. It's the best place for it compared to some other stands along the beach. Other fruit juices are also delicious. I tried their burger and it was a mistake...you're better off going to Burger King or McDonald's. Go here for fruit juices and smoothie. Go elsewhere for food.

I frequently go to Polis Sucos since I was a little kid. Nothing has changed since the 70s. It's a place to drink and enjoy a fresh juice and a sandwich after the beach. The only negative point is the price, well above average you expect to pay.

My husband and I were in Rio for a 5-night stay and we ate/drank at Polis Sucos at least once a day! We couldn't find anything that we liked better. We tried all of the juices, although it was hard not to get the mango/passionfruit every time! We ate grilled cheese, cheeseburgers, tuna, and the filet sandwich. All were excellent,... More

A great "Brazilian Experience"! You will feel local on the first time. A few tips: Ask first, pay later. Is the right way. Choose a fruit juice just looking at them in front of you, anyone is grab! If you do not like it just say so, the owners are gonna give another choice and will not charge you!
