Good food, low key friendly atmosphere

The bakers served delicious food and promptly. All the waiters were lovely and very tourist friendly. English menus with some english speaking waiters. The desserts were yummy. Chicken Caesar salad is really good as is the mocha coffee. Good for a quick, simple meal. Reasonably priced.

We looked this place up on trip advisor and headed out from our hotel to find it. Easy to find, English menus and at least one waiter that could speak great English. We ordered salads and sandwiches - not any more expensive than other places that we ate around Copacabana Beach. LOTS of food! We also had dessert, after many... More

Great cakes, every day a different variety! The sandwiches are a bit high priced ($15cad for a sandwich) but pieces of cakes and desserts are perfect - within $5.

I stopped by while shopping to have lunch and had a delicious Salmon with Cream cheese omelette with a side salad. The servise was good and the little restaurant is very agreeable. Prices were moderat too. An experience that has been repeated several times since the first.

Very disappointed. The waiters were not really there, usually looking at nowhere, completely blankly. They wouldn't come to serve you :( I ordered a Mediterranean Couscous salad with salmom but they did not bring the salmom :( Lemon juice badly done :( The chocolate Eclair as hard as a rock :( It was not a good meal and to make... We came to know about this place from the internet and it came highly recommended. we got to this place at 850am and it was closed. There was another guest outside and she said the place opened at 9am and so we waited. The exterior of the place was like a dump if i may be honest, but once they... More

Went for breakfast July 2014. The storefront was so pretty with lots of cakes, a good number of pastries and sandwiches on display. Seating is located at the back of the bakery - has 20tables or so and is packed on a Sat morning. Ordered egg white omelet with cheese and ham- was so good! The omelet was super moist... More

I believe we must write about what we experience in a place, in the day you go to that place. That said, I really thought that The Bakers would be better, and I also think they are better than they were today. I ate today a salad that, as far as I remember is called Long Island. It had pasta,... More

What a great place to eat lunch, a snack, buy challa or order cakes. The owners learned from grandpa Kurt, a Viennese who came to Brazil escaping the war, how to bake wonders. Ordered a savory palm heart and cheese tart, as well as a wonderful chocolate cake for a birthday celebration. They were gorgeous and delicious. Not to be... More

We had the Light Breakfast. The papaya was so yummy. I loved the croissant and the yogurt with honey and granola. The fresh-squeezed OJ was the best I've ever had. The service was impeccable. We will come back later to sample their desserts that look delicious.
