I grew up eating Arabic/middle eastern food and I know a thing or two about it. Food and service here are mediocre at best. Starting with tasteless appetizers like hummus & baba ghanouj into the chicken and beef skewers which had no spices or any marination. Even the French fries didn't taste good, seems they use the oil to fry... More

Unlike many Rio, beachfront restaurants, it's not overly expensive - trying to bump up the price for tourists. You can sit outside and enjoy the sea breeze, or inside where it's air conditioned. Authentic Middle Eastern food is served - without the Brazilian touch. Dishes are plentiful and well priced. Many mezze options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians plus all sorts... More

My husband and I had dinner on the patio in June 2014. We shared one of the mezze plates which included more than enough food for two. I believe this is your best value on the menu and you get to try a number of differnt dishes this way. We enjoyed our meal and felt the service was good. It... More

If you're staying in Copacabana, and craving healthy vegetarian food on the beach front, this place is the best option. They have 2 veggie platters...we ordered one that had a lot of variety: rice with beans, chickpea balls, eggplant, some other delicious tofu based balls etc (priced at around $25USD)...This was all very filling for 2..We ordered more items just... We ate here 3 days in a row while visiting Rio. It was just too good not to go back each time. Take a plate for 2 and it will be more than enough and really good Arabic/Greek food. With drinks included you'll pay only 20 dollars while sitting at the boulevard Copacabana.

Positives: Very large comprehensive buffet for lunch consisting of middle eastern ethnic foods, lunch crowd includes many of Middle Eastern or north African descent, excellent food, very clean and professional, decent outside view of beach, tasty dinner Negatives: Though friendly, the employees have some of that seeming Middle East suspicion of strangers Details: I was playing tourist while on a... We were lucky, it was just one block from the Arena Hotel where we stayed. Excellent food, the portions were too big for us and surprise an excellent belly dance! Well the music was a bit too loud, may folks you can make it a bit softer for future visitors?

Every mouthful of food we ate was watched by the woman In black (clearly the manager). Being constantly told we couldn't eat each other's food, why not? There was no explanation. We were paying for the food, I will eat whatever I want! They couldn't really afford to be like this, treating customers badly and making them feel uncomfortable -... More

Was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was - Rio is not a place where middle eastern food is the first cuisine that comes to mind. But it was quite good. On the beach, standard outdoor seating. A very pleasant place to spend time with friends.

We had dinner here twice and both times, great service and great food! Amazing location right on the beach. We were surprised at how good the food was for the price compared to a month of overpriced bad food in Brazil. The wifi worked well inside the restaurant too which is rare in Rio. Can recommend the beef kofta and... More
