Was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was - Rio is not a place where middle eastern food is the first cuisine that comes to mind. But it was quite good. On the beach, standard outdoor seating. A very pleasant place to spend time with friends.

We had dinner here twice and both times, great service and great food! Amazing location right on the beach. We were surprised at how good the food was for the price compared to a month of overpriced bad food in Brazil. The wifi worked well inside the restaurant too which is rare in Rio. Can recommend the beef kofta and... More

Absolutely dreadful experience with friends during the World Cup. The food was not even remotely close to Arab cuisine and the service was dire. Avoid for the food but recommended for the belly dancer!

If you are looking for a wonderful combination of spices to give your liver a break of all those barbies with caipirinha then look no further. Try a bit of everything which is vegetarian and don't forget the mint tea (traditional in those countries). As for the service, even if you don't speak any portuguese try talking to the waiter... As others have said eating at 'Arab' makes a tasty change from the standard 'Copa' food. Mouthwatering choice on the menu. Pita bread and hummus was tasty. We then had really tender lamb with great sauce. The Meze to share looked very tempting and we will go back to try it before leaving!

When walking around Rodrigo de Freitas Lake in Ipanema, this is a very good place to rest a little bit while drink a coconut water. Nice view of the lake. After sunset is better.

We stayed in an apartment in the same building as the Arab restaurant, and grabbed a quick lunch while waiting to check in. The lunch buffet was amazing! Very clean, the food had great flavor and was fresh. We ended up having lunch and dinner here many times during our visit to Rio. The all you can eat dinner was... More

The food is average for the price but what let this place down is the service and rudeness of the staff (or our waiter at least). After waiting for 25 minutes to have our table cleared from our mains we staked up our plates to catch some attention, after had to go and get a menu ourselves for desserts. 20... More

A nice change from the average restaurants along Av. Atlantiqe. Good helpings and reasonably priced with a large selection to chose from.
