Atmosphere and Unique Location...

Overall the food was good to very good on the scale of quality, portion and flavour. The price however was a little high for what we received if the price was associated purely with food. The service was very good and the atmosphere due to the layout, location and view was excellent. Even the... read more

I've been to Aprazivel several times in the last few years and had the chance of getting a table with bay view. Today, most of the tables have no view whatsoever and the restaurant is packed with tourists. The food is OK, but overpriced; which is understandable if you get the view. Otherwise, it's not worth it.

First thing first - this place is the first one in my life where management exhibited no interest to help arranging for a taxi - which at 10pm in unsafe neighbourhood can be real deal breaker and an appalling service not seen anywhere else. We were told that best for us will be to wait at the entrance to intercept... More

This restaurant is a must visit if you are ever in Rio. Whether you visit it during the day or the night the views are spectacular, and these and the layout of the restaurant over a number of different level, adds the the high quality of the food. The restaurant is located at the top of a hill in Santa... More

When we arrived it took us 2 minutes to get the attention of the guy on receptions attention. We stood without acknowledgement while he chatted with a colleague. Not to worry, within moments he was questioning if we really had a booking. We did. And he soon pivoted to being charming. He took us to a table where it became... More

Aprazivel restaurant sits on a hill on the Santa Teresa neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro. The tables are spread out on several levels with views, it feels partly as being in a garden and partly as being in the mountainsThe appetizers and entrees are great: i tried the pasteis and a "tropical" fish dish which was delicious. The deserts are... More

On paper, Aprazivel has everything to please: Nice views over the Zona Norte of Rio a picturesque décor that includes several tree houses with woven palm roofs. However, between the food, which ranged from passable to actively bad, they were simply plain food with no personality, very ordinarily cooked and lacking flavor, and off-ripping prices! DO NOT GO THERE!!!

This is a short review because there's not really much to critique.... The venue is wow, the food is beautiful, the service is excellent and the view is gorgeous. I have read some negative reviews on here about Aprazivel and wondered whether to bother (as you do have to get a cab to take you up there), but I'm so... More

The design is excellent among the trees with a great view of the city as it is located on the mountain. Although we went there by taxi, it was a little difficult to find there; but, it really worth finding there. It is located at Santa Teresa neighborhood which the neighborhood itself is a must-see in rio. The food is... More
