Beautiful must see

This buffet restaurant is beautiful and classy. Two sisters built it as a coffee house in 1894. They originated profit sharing for their employees and also the idea of self service. The gorgeous two story room is decorated with eight huge mirrors imported from Belgium and stained glass windows... read more

Beautiful interrior, but overpriced, with arrogant, non English speaking staff. They should speak at least basic English if this is one of the most popular tourist spots in Rio. But the worst thing was latte with the strong taste of chlorine. Worst latte in my entire life.

The building it's a traditional well conserved 1800's from imperial time, the service it's average and the food already have a touch of modern influence . It's definitely worth visiting and taking some photos of the old traditional architecture. The food it's nothing out of average

Best Coxinha de Galinha and Brigadeiro ever tasted. It felt like home! A must visit when in Rio. The area is a little bit crowded (need to pay attention to your wallet) but it is worth going.

It has an interesting and exquisite decoration, the prices are over priced but is worth a visit. With mirrors that are European style, the whole place is attractive, the food is ok.,very fancy restaurant.

This place is amazing. There is a wide spread of cakes, tarts, biscuits and eclairs served in a posh setting. The walls are lined with mirrors and cabinets filled with plates. But prepare to wait as it is always full with a line at the door. You may need to wait 15 minutes or longer.

This is a really beautiful cafe with lovely decor, and amazing cakes and Brazilian pastries, and passable coffee.

The location was very nice and reminded me of Viennese Cafe. Service was pretty poor and slow, which reminded me of typical tourist trap. Maybe not necessarily the experience one comes to Rio for. However, it was pretty nice to see it.

This cafe is absolutely stunning. A beautiful assortment of cakes and sweets on display. A gorgeous setting for afternoon tea. Well worth the trip into downtown for an afternoon treat. Really busy and a bit in the expensive side, but worth it.
