Typical carioca bar

This place is my dad's favorite bar. Good to go after the beach, to drink a cold draft beer (Brahma) and to eat snacks (pastel, bolinho de bacalhau)

This is a fun place to check out, a real local's bar. Tons of people hanging out every time we walked by. Stop by for a chopp and "Santa Dose"

The relatively close spacing of the tables adds to the sense of fun. Our waiter advised us not to order too much -- we had one cod dish which was plenty for two and very tasty.

I love this place. It is “boteco”, which means it is a place to go for drinks with friends and stay for hours chatting, drinking and eating. Food is fantastic and the service is the best you will find in Rio. You will feel good there and most probably you will stay for hours and get out with a dozen... More

This was one of the best places we ate during our trip to Rio. Service was superb, food great. It does get very busy though late in the evening. Try the cod balls, and the crab. Both very good.

We stopped by with a resident of Rio for a drink at this well known bar. It was absolutely buzzing and the smells of food coming from the kitchen were tantalising and made us want to stay and eat. Unfortunately there was no time but it is a place I would go back to if given the chance on another... More

Staying in Leblon

Neighborhood Profile
Leblon
In addition to being one of the most upscale neighbourhoods in the city, Leblon is charming, elegant and simple. This posh area has some of the most famous and expensive restaurants in Brazil, along with some of the city’s best nightlife (including some places open all night). One of the best places to visit is the beach, located under the impressive “Morro Dois Irmãos” (Two Brothers Hill). It’s a pleasant place to relax and admire the local beauty.
