Delicious simple food, nice setting

Right on the corner of the main square. Beautiful setting for dinner at the tables outside. The building itself is beautiful and has a cool atmosphere inside. Food was delicious. A little above our usual backpacker budget but worth it. Friendly staff with very good English. Would definitely... read more

Perfect place to watch the world go by, wicked caipirinhas, good draft beer, excellent and very reasonable food. Staff are really friendly

Positive point: -great location Negatives points: -food is just ok, a little flavorless -service inefficient -in my visit, they made a mistake in the bill, almost charge on credit card plus R$ 100

Simply an outstanding lunch. Amazing old bar with great woodwork, old diner style tables and booths, great old photos on the walls, both of US and Brazilian origins. Service was excellent. But on top of a really nice atmosphere, the food was way beyond what I expected. Had the lamb burger--cooked perfectly, topped with fresh veggies and melted Brie!!! Absolutely... More

Almost kind of a quirky boteco/hangout right off the main plaza, the menu seemed extensive and varied. I tried the Picanha Grelhada and while the quality of the meat was fine, I had to send it back because it came out lukewarm to start-after that it was fine. The interesting part was the arroz maluco-rice mixed with bacon, eggs and... More

We wandered the old cobbled stone streets of Paraty in search for a place with atmosphere, an inviting menu and reasonable prices. Casa Coupe did all of the above. The place was busy for a Wednesday night, our meals (penne carbonara & seafood rissotto) were refreshingly authentic and were complimented by a great South America wine list. The background music... Great location, in the heat of Paraty nightlife, quite good food, but very bad service. We booked a table outside twice, and our table was taken from other guest who spoke with another waiter, so we had to wait an half an hour more; lack of communication between the staff...and it seems you are there to make them a favour;... We had dinner and the Birgers were very tasty. But our waiter messed up. He misses our drinks and also Musses our daugthers burger. We had to pay full price for our son's portion. But it had good lication close to the squarepants the old town.

We visited on several occasions during our stay in Paraty mainly for lunch or drinks in the evening. As it is located on one of the main squares its a great place to have a beer and watch the world go by. If you are lucky enough to be there when there is a performance of local dancing and puppetry... More

Great bar and restaurant in the center of Paraty's old town. Right on a main square, it's a fantastic place to people watch and gets quite lively at night. They have a great selection of drinks, do great caiprinhas and good food and the service is top notch. Went there a few times during a 2 week stay in Paraty... More
