Lovely food in great surroundings

Came here for lunch as part of an organised jeep tour. Food and service cannot be faulted. I enjoyed some very tasty pumpkin ravioli with tomato sauce and my partner had the traditional chicken with rice and black beans. Not too pricey and the surrounding gardens near the river are very nice... read more

Excelent restaurant to get some different meals! My expwrience was about some pasta and espetacular "caipirinha de heineken"! That was fantastic!

I'm not sure what all the other reviewers were talking about-- some of the reviews on here are pretty old, so let me set the record straight. My wife and I visited Villa Verde along with our two young daughters on recommendation from a friend. Upon arrival, you park along the road near a sign for the restaurant; however, you... More

This place was great after having visited the beach and the waterfalls! The kids could roam freely while we had a leisurely beer on the deck. The food is good (not excellent) but exactly what we needed after a busy morning with the kids. Take a roam around the grounds and see the giant lizards! There were also some wonderfully... More

I have been to this restaurant twice now for lunch as part of the Jeep tour with Paraty Tours. I have enjoyed both meals immensely. Both times I went for the lunch-time special (meat or fish) and paid no more than 25 reals which is a bargain in Paraty. For sure the location is one of the main attractions of... More

The location is beautiful and they seem to have advertising all over the places in Paraty so when we passed in front of it on the way back from the waterfall we decided to stop there and have lunch because we recognised the name. We had two pasta dishes, fetuccine with pesto and nuts and mushroom raviolli with tomato sauce.... More

There was no host(ess). The waiters did't go to our table until we asked for it in the bar. Couvert took ages to come and the pasta was not that good. You have to stay in line to pay since they don't bring the bill at the table. If you want to come just because of the view, ok, but... More

The menu here is varied, with a surprisingly international flavour, I went for the Mushroom Ravioli which was pretty good. The major selling point of this place however is it's location, you are literally surrounded by beautiful rainforest, with a river running just alongside you. Contrary to other reviews, we were part of a jeep tour and were served pretty... More

Hidden gem in Paraty. This restaurant is set in the most beautiful garden by a river. You need to walk over a wooden bridge to get there. The hand made pasta is to die for and the portions are generous. A must to visit if you're going to Paraty.

More
