Hidden Gem. Best Restaurant in Paraty

Found this place close to our B&B and my wife and I agree that this was the BEST food we ate during our trip. Portions were huge, taste was awesome and the romantic beach-side ambiance was a nice way to finish off a long day of exploring the historic center/snorkeling on our boat tour.

Coudn't be a better choice if you want to be in a cosy place enjoying the sound of the sea and of course eating a very gorgeous food prepared by a international chef! Don't hesitate to try the refreshing capirinhas made with local fruits! It's not cheap but it's worth it!!!

Enjoyed a couple of meals here in the evenings. It was a wonderful relaxed atmosphere right on the beach and the food was excellent. Attentive and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend.

The place is nice and very typical, on the beach, with cozy decoration and very kind service. Unfortunately the food wasn't special al all: we had a paella, low in salt, with sea fruits not so great. For the price I would have expected better quality. Quantity was ok, and again, service and location lovely.

This restaurant on the edge of seaside surprised me in the best way. The food was great - definitely the best we tasted during the first week in Rio de Janeiro. After having an amazing dinner with the lightning in the horizon, we came back the next day for lunch. There was a guy Diego, an amazing and helpful waiter.... More

This restaurant was recommended by the people who ran our pousada which was nearby and it did not disappoint. It is essentially an outdoor restaurant / bar with tables virtually on the beach. The fish we had was excellent and the service attentive. It was a beautifully clear evening when we went so we were able to watch the moon... More

The location and food here were great and the caipirinha were incredible - the only thing that let it down for us was the service which was just very slow. Would still really recommend it though! It is a very romantic setting on the beach - make sure you have your mosquito repellant on.

We stay at a Pousada nearby, 5 nights, and ate here 3x:) That kinda says its all. Get a table outside and watch the moon rise over the water. Order the fish platters, a caipirinha and some wine and forget everything else. Nice staff and (often a challenge in Brazil ;) very attentive service. The cook is serious dedicated!

Arrived at 7 and although no great sunset it was warm enough to enjoy a wonderful evening at La Luna with my family. The atmosphere is really good and we had the best steaks not just in Paraty but for many years. its all outside and best to book. Really recommended.

My partner and I ended our 3 week trip in Paraty. On 2 of our 4 nights we dined at La Luna and it was simply magical. The ambience is perfect. Very romantic with candlelit tables on the beach, orange light from the restaurant and soothing lounge music playing. We were even gate crashed by a firefly! (Don't get those... More
