Very good "kilo"

Generally not fond of "kilo" (cheap price / cheap food), this one is quite good. A little expensive with circa 7-8 R$ per 100 gr (that is why I rated it good and not excellent) but that is the price of quality, the picanha was very good. The place is also "cosy".

Very good situated, with a nice variety of excellent and fresh dishes of, literally, all types, with the warmth and fantastic service that is usual in Brazil. I went 3 times during my stay in Buzios. Super recommended

We went here to try the kilo concept given its a popular Brazillian thing. The salads are pretty good, fresh ingredients used. The food is very salty though. Four of the hot dishes were so salty we could barely eat them. The plates are quite large. We had three 3/4 full plates of salad (about 350g each) and one small... More

My husband and I noticed the trip advisor "certificate of excellence" sticker in the window so we thought we would give it a shot. He stayed at our table with our shopping bags while I went to grab some food from the buffet. I wasn't super hungry so I grabbed some salad and a bit of pasta...my plate looked pretty... More

The food is very good and there is a lot of choice! This is a pay per kilo restaurant, and you can choose from salad, sushi, barbecue and a variety of delicious dishes. A good option in Buzios.

This is a 'by kilo' restaurant. Other reviewers have explained in detail how this very Brazilian style restaurant works. It's really easy! The variety of food is enormous. From the huge salad bar with items like artichoke hearts to walfdorf salad, the fresh pasta counter where your favourite pasta is cooked to order, the Japanese counter and the meat section... More

I know that all you can eat type of restaurants may not be very nice in another countries and some people avoid them, but in Brazil they can get very fancy and high quality. It's a favourite of the Brazilian population, and is a popular option for lunch. As a Brazilian person I might be biased here, but the food... More

SUMMARY - Very salty, but tasty. - Opt for red meat. - Don't bother with prawns at all. - Cheap(ish) caipirinhas. HOW IT WORKS Upon seating, you're given a sheet of paper with a list of drinks on that get ticked whenever you order one from the waiter. Once you've self served yourself food, you take your sheet to the... More

Stopped here initially just top try the imperial pale ale advertised. Easily the best beer I've had in South America. Ended up going back later that night and decided to eat. Food was above average, I'm not really a fan of kilo restaurants, but I'll definitely be back a couple more times this week considering. Our waiter was very good.

We found the food varied and tasty. The only problem was that it was too cold inside because of the A/C but that seems to be endemic in all warm climates, which is a shame. Had to eat outside which was not ideal, a bit dark. All in all, we enjoyed our dinner very much and found the price very... More
