Very tasty food, very friendly staff, overall experience is good. The only recommendation is to improve vegetable salad.

Slightly tucked away at the dos Ossos beach end of Buzios but with a great view in a pretty covered terrace. We had the local fish (Mahi mahi?), beautifully cooked, followed by a delicious crepe with rum and raisin ice cream. The wine was good too and the service friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Spent a late Monday night dinner at this place, based on its TripAdvisor ratings and recommendations. The service was kind and the place directly situated along the Orla Bardot boulevard is cosy. The menu is rather limited and not particularly creative as was the food: tasty, but nothing extraordinary culinary nor fancy decorations. We spent R$ 125,- for a soup,... More

Nice friendly small restaurant run by the owner Frances who does the cooking he has 30 yrs or more experience in delightfully French cuisine. You can wash your meal down with a full bodied red wine if you so wished. Frances will also cater for reasonable dietary requests more than happy to keep his clients happy. The restaurant is facing... More

Great food and an amazing view from their sweet, covered porch. Small restaurant so it feels intimate. Seafood focused menu for local flair with traditional French dishes like boeuf bourgignon and chicken provençale, and crepes. We went for seafood but diners around is did those dishes and they smelled and looked to-die-for. Chef came out and apologized for a mistake... More

My wife and I went here looking for a delicious casual meal among all the haute cuisine in Buzios and were not disappointed. We started with a savory crepe that had a thin crust and delicious cheese on the inside. We then moved to a mixed seafood spaghetti and my wife had the fish duo. The fish they prepared was... More

Really great restaurant. The food was very delicious. The hostess and chef were very friendly and greeted us personally. After an extensive search for a good restaurant in Buzios, we were very delighted to dine in L'Escale. It not only stands out from all others, has a warm and welcome atmosphere, but at the same time you get the real... More

Small and off the beaten track this may be, but it is a gem. The main problem I had with the menu was that I wanted it all. When I saw other peoples meals I knew I was right, The food was superb without being over complicated. The service was helpful and attentive - the proprietors are obviously passionate about... More

As a regular visitor to Buzios the big search everytime is to try and find somewhere new to eat. And for those who travel Europe extensively, that search is always for the kind of food you find done so well and priced so reasonably in France, Spain, Italy. Let’s face it, a full time diet of Brazilian food is not... More
