All hotels offer you the transport to go there. Obviously a tourist trap, expensive with low quality food (71€ /210 R$ for 2 without wine!) To avoid absolutely

Trapiche is a restaurant where you will find a reasonably good seafood for a reasonable price considering the size of the dishes. Typically, a dish serves two quite well and food is ok. Foz is not a city of fantastic restaurants (apparently people care more for size than quality there) and considering that Trapiche is not a bad option. In... More

We went there for dinner on a Saturday night and opted for the seafood set menu, which is a variety of dishes that are continuosly and quickly brought to you (you may choose the ones you want and eat as much as you can - this is a kind of restaurant very common in Brazil, specially for barbecues). The staff... More

We were looking forward to eat the local river fish but what we found was a highly over rated restaurant . Frozen broccoli ,cauliflower and carrot mix that was rubbery and tasteless. . Rice with carrots was also a a frozen microwave wonder . We sent back the rice for plain white rice. After many questions we found out the... More

..., but nothing special and quite expensive. Be prepared, that no one speaks English!! The building is not attractive and there is no outside seating.

Service is great. They will pick up you from the hotel (at least when receptionist call them, they send a car for us to bring to the restaurant and bring back). Portions are huge - actually we chose buffet and waiters continuously bring you more and more food. But the problem is - the food is tasteless. Rolls are OK,... More

Not overpriced by New York standards -- though still pricey -- but way overpriced by Brazilian standards. While my companion loved his fish entree, my meat was very average. We went at 8 on a Saturday night -- quite a few families with children and crying babies. The restaurant has a playroom and seems to attract families with small children.... More

Buffet or a la carte restaurant with a decent selection of foods. The staff was friendly however even the restaurant was not full a little slow on the request s. A little expensive for the buffet specially for a low variety of foods. Not a bad quality however for the money could be better.

Trapiche is focused on fish and sea food. We had a slightly mixed experience - we speak little Portuguese and the staff on duty had limited English. We felt we were been pressed by the waiter (who was probably just trying to be helpful) and perhaps missed the best options. The restaurant is very popular, and can get very busy.... More
