Good atmosphere and food

The dishes are delicious. I´m always in Curitiba and I love to go to Barolo. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the service is very good. The letter of wines is excellent but it´s not the same for the beers and they don´t have the proper cups for beers. The dishes are usually for two people and... read more

The atmosphere and service is good, but the food was very mediocre. I had the pasta with beef and the thing is, you can have much better beef in many places in Curitiba. The pasta I could have cooked myself. The tomato sauce was bland and the pasta slightly overcooked. Doubt i'll be coming back.

Excellent atmosphere, the food and wine selection superb, and yes, the portions are huge! My wife and I shared a meal and took half home with us. It is pricey, this is a higher end place. The waiters were very friendly and polite with some able to speak English which is always a nice touch when I struggled with my... More

It is the best "mainstream" Italian place in Curitiba, but be aware of the long waiting lines during peak hours, any day of the week.

Very nice place in a busy street of Curitiba, I went there for lunch and it was very busy. The prices might look expensive but if you consider that 3 people can eat well one plate, than it is actually cheap!! The pasta is strongly recommend and it is home made. Scape the couvert and ask for the brusqueta or... More

My husband and I were in Curitiba for his birthday by chance and were excited to go back to Durski, which unfortunately closed in May this year! So, several recommendations later, we end up at Barolo without a reservation. Big mistake. Everything from then on was a big mistake. This is the opposite of Durski. There was a long wait... More

This is the perfect Italian family restaurant: Service is corteous, food is average-high (but definetely consistent), price is right and the location is awesome. Long waits are expected though, but worth the visit.

Amazing food. Excellent salads. Ate there last week (Nov 14). We had 5 people and ordered 2 double sizes dishes and it was plenty of food. The house specialty is shells with shrimp in a light cream sauce. Comes out bubbling. My favorite disk was spaghetti and meatballs. Not traditional meatballs as I know, but really, really good! Will be... More

I visited this restaurant during a business trip with colleagues from work. The atmosphere is lovely - very Italian in design and feel. The menu is amazing - so many choices! We shared a giant bowl - actually the word "bowl" doesn't do it justice - it was more like a medium-sized paella pan full of cheese-covered seafood pasta and... More
