From the outside it looks like Casino with an extravagant architecture but don't get intimidated. It's a relatively cheap restaurant where you pay a fixed fee of R$ 38 (Mondays, dinner) and you can eat as much as you want. During the weekends you might have to wait for a long time to get a table.

Great restaurant with Italian food in the neighborhood of Santa Felicidade in Curitiba. Cozy and with good local food.

Clean, and very good service but expect a lot of people and traffic. Good value for the amount of food you get lots of meat option and pasta.

Famous as one of the largest restaurants in the world with around 5000 seats, this is mass dining Italian style. I never got to see a menu - the chefs cook whatever they cook. A continuous stream of dishes comes to your table more or less whether you want them or not. Avoid the house wines - they are sweet... More

Huge restaurant (biggest one in Latin America), decent food. It's more of Italian immigrant food than actual Italian food. Food in abundance, but very simplistic and overpriced. If you want to eat great real Italian food go to places like Barollo or Lelis. If you want something different this might do the trick - just don't expect a gastronomic thrill.

If you choose to dine at Madalosso, which all visitors to Curitiba seem to do (It only holds up to 4,000 people, so I am told), you won"t be dissapointed. At least not with the overall experience. Although the original Madalosso, which is across the street and much more charming architecturally, is where we should have gone for a romantic... More

Very beaultiful restaurant with a delicious food based on pasta and chicken. When you leave, take a look on souvenir store. If you are going to visit Curitiba, don't forget to visit (at least) this place.

Lovely food and service. It is the second biggest restaurant in the world and I guess with that you loose a bit of that peculiar and singular touch. Regardless the food was delicious and the fried polenta to die for.

Madalosso: love it or leave it. People from Curitiba love to criticise it, but eat there often. It's an Italian restaurant in the traditional neighbourhood of Santa Felicidade (it's the gastronomic address of Curitiba). It's a must-go for tourists, they get impressed with all the fuzz and the quantity of food available - some think it's an enormous waste. The... More

One of the largest restaurants in the world shows the extent they've had to extend themselves due to popularity and numbers of diners. Although on the expensive side, the food here is exquisitely delicious served by a high standard of waiter service.
