Intimate Main Street Bistro

I stopped Saturday evening about 6:30. Live harp music was relaxing and enjoyable. Not real busy so I sat at the small bar. Nice selection of higher end liquors, wines, and some craft beers. Menu included soup, salads, sandwiches, and a meal menu after 5:00 PM. I had Hoisan braised pork. Nice sized... read more

My daughter and I decided to have lunch here as this was the only non-fast food choice with real food. We were not disappointed. I had read the reviews about poor service but we experienced just the opposite. The gentleman who was our server was polite and friendly, a bit busy but to be expected over the lunch hour. We... We went to 2nd Street Bistro to celebrate my last day of "50 anything", as the following day was my 60th birthday. It could have been my last supper, and I would have gone on a happy girl!! Don't let the exterior fool you, as the food inside is as wonderful as the outside is deceiving. We arrived for dinner... More

Lovely, quaint cafe/bistro. Not cheap, though. Expect to pay a higher price for higher quality. That said, the food was fantastic; however, I must agree with another reviewer on the service. Not because it was slow (it wasn't) but the waiter (owner? bartender?) seemed very aloof. He greeted a couple of regulars warmly enough (I recognized one of them from... More

This place was very nice and just off Hwy 2... we stopped, had a delicious meal with some great service, and a little wine to top it off ;)! I would recommend anyone looking for a little nicer and not as busy dining (compared to things right on Lake Superior) to give this place a shot They were fantastic!!!

The 2nd Street is great for a quick dinner or a wedding feast. They can do it all and they've done it all. Great space in town too. Excellent service and better food.

Great food, but service left a lot to be desired. I felt like we were a burden being there from the moment we stepped in the door. I am sure it's hard to anticipate staff needs in a small touristy-town, but wow. On a lighter note, the food was great and so was the live musician. I personally wouldn't dine... More

The food is awesome. The gnocchi was superb and the crab cake sandwich was delicious. Service was fine but the waitress lacked any personality and didn't make us feel welcome at all...it was a little weird and awkward.

Excellent food for my first trip to the 2nd Street Bistro. Quiet Monday night in May, service was nothing to write home about, but the food was great! I'll be back, hoping that I have a new server with a personality. Make sure to try the mushroom bruschetta!

Trip advisor links another place's (same name) menu which is how we ended up here. A gal singing and playing piano which was lovely. And then the service. Or lack there of. Wow. I really can't describe it. If I'm paying $8 for a glass of sangria and $16 for a Po Boy sandwich (just the Sammie, no sides or... More
