I have been to 2nd Street Bistro a handful of times. A few times for dinner and a couple times to watch the live acoustic sets of local talent. The drinks are good, but spendy. The food is also good, served rather 'fancy' yet spendy again. The atmosphere is cozy as the venue is rather small. It's worth checking out,... More

We stopped in again for a light lunch and were not disappointed. It was Summer and hot so we wanted something refreshing to drink. The waiter/bar tender/owner offered an home made Sangria. Delicious! We had a tuna sandwich and light salad with basalmic dressing. The service can be a bit uneven if it gets busy as staffing is difficult to... More

This was a very romantic little setting! They even had a harp player that was very good! Food was good also! Mushroom brushetta was something new that we tried and i feel in love with. It was a little chilly but bearable in the restaurant. It is a SLOW PACED restaurant so if you'd like to take your time i... More

We always try to plan our trips to Ashland to include a lunch at the 2nd Street Bistro. Our favorite is the White Fish Sandwich which is consistently fresh and delicious. (It's only available December through September because harvest of white fish from Superior in October and November is not permitted and the Bistro only serves fresh fish!) Fortunately there... Eating here was not bad, but seeing the chef out in a public restroom not wash his hands after doing his thing causes me to think twice about going here again.

Had the whitefish sandwich with sweet potato fries and a beer for ~$21 incl tax/tip. It was good. Fast and attentive service. Not a cheap place to eat, but decent food for the price. If you want a really cheap burger (there it is $10 + toppings), go elsewhere.

We had a great lunch at 2nd st Bistro on a recent visit to Ashland on our way to the Apostle islands. Made our stop based on other reviews and a recommendation. Worth a stop for sure.

At first glance, this little restaurant looks like a cafe. However, the food was excellent, and the service great. The menu has a number of items that you don't see every day, it was hard to choose. Very fresh ingredients, prepared well. Wish we had been there on Friday, they have live music. Bet it would have been fun. Highly... More

Menu and website are for a Florida restaurant. We watched 3 couples come in and leave after looking at menu. Food was OK. Only 1 person as bartender and waitress.

We decided to give this little place a try after reading very good reviews. Everything was just as we thought. We both had the Whitefish sandwich - the server's suggestion. She recommended it because it was fresh, she said. Right she was. Delicious. Interesting collection of teapots. The decor was darkish and the jazz background music was appropriate and made... More
