The best fruit icecream

Now I fully understand why everyone recommends Cairu! They have THE BEST icecream made with local fruits such as Cupuaçu, Graviola, Taperebá, etc... You can try all the flavours before making your choice. It's a must in Belém!

The best Ice Cream of the Brazil, maybe of the world. A explosion of colors and flavors! A "a must taste" at the city.

I managed to try several unknown flavours and unfortunatly did not like most of it, but some are wonderful. My favour is castanha do para, delicious!

This is the place to go to experience ice cream of all flavours, including local fruit flavours. If you don't speak Portuguese, no problem, just point to any ice cream, it is all wonderful, make it a tasting experience.

Definitely a great spot to try atypical ice creams featuring flavors inspired by amazonian fruits, and the much loved local staple: Tapioca. Here you can try pure açaí, cupuaçu, xixa, castanha-do-pará, tapioca... And the list goes on and on!

OK, Cairu is unique, almost a myth and it is great to have such a wonderful choice of Amazon tastes. Also the unfriendly attitude of their (feminine only) staff is proverbial and part of the experience. But it seems that in the recent years they are really exagerating in... sugar! It did not use to be like that many years... More

Many Amazon’s typical fruit in ice cream format , like cupuaçu, bacuri, açai, and castanha do pará ( para’s nut) you can flavor it .In Belem, you can enjoy Cairu's ice cream in lots of differents places...a little expensive when compared with purchasing power in the region

When visiting Belém I dare to say that trying Cairu ice creams is as mandatory as relaxing in Salinas beaches (where by the way they have a Cairu restaurant too). They have an amazing menu with tropical fruits ice creams that are a sort of masterpieces of the Mother Nature, such as açaí, cupuaçu, graviola, mangaba, castanha-do-pará (Brazilian Nuts) and... Great selection of really tasty ice cream. Lots of tropical fruit flavours and a very nice chili chocolate. Perfect treat in the tropical heat!
