When visiting Belém I dare to say that trying Cairu ice creams is as mandatory as relaxing in Salinas beaches (where by the way they have a Cairu restaurant too). They have an amazing menu with tropical fruits ice creams that are a sort of masterpieces of the Mother Nature, such as açaí, cupuaçu, graviola, mangaba, castanha-do-pará (Brazilian Nuts) and... Great selection of really tasty ice cream. Lots of tropical fruit flavours and a very nice chili chocolate. Perfect treat in the tropical heat!

I have tavelled across Brazil many times, and one of the highlights of my travels is having ice cream at Cairu when I come to Belém. Did not find a flavor I did not like, my favorites are Castanha and Mestiço. Fantastic ice cream.

This is a very well known icecream brand in Belem, and if you are visiting the city you must have the Tapioca and Acai ice cream (also known as the "Paraense". They are in more than one location, suggest having ice cream in their cation in estacao das docas.

Best ice cream. Period. You don't have to take anyone's words for it, just go and try yourself. I dare say it's set a standard of excellence for all Brazilian brands, regardless of product nature or business model. (This review concerns the product alone, as there are so many points in Belém that serve it)

30 years ago I knew, and since than, the best ice cream parlor in Brazil. Local flavors like cupuaçu and tapioca among other regional fruits are super delicious!

Great ice cream store! They are unique for having an enormous diversity of flavors! Forget chocolate and other regular flavor and try Taperebá!

You will see nowhere the huge selection of flavors, and the creative combination among them. Huge portions of ice cream served to defy your palate. If there is something you cannot miss it is the Cairu ice cream

I heard about their ice creams many times before going there, but since I have diabetes, it was not something I would try. When I got there - what a surprise! - they had diet flavours. I tried one from a fruit from the Amazon, Bacuri, and it was just wonderful. You can not miss this place. Even if you... More

So many colours, smells and flavours you've never seen before. It's an "Amazon Fruits Tour", in form of icecream - and, come on, everything is better is it's icecream. Try them all, repeat your favorites, bet who gets the weirdest one. Anyway, you'll love it. My favorite is Castanha do Para (brazilian nut) - but don't trust my taste. Try... More
