This ice cream is very expensive....however you can try some tipical tastes like TAPIOCA and some fruits.
Local ice cream company with lots and lots of local flavors. Recomend for you to taste at leat 10 flavors, because some of them you would never find in any other place in the planet. Very, Veru tasty!!
Recommended! Cairu is large chain of regional ice cream stores placed in several parts of teh city (streets, shopping malls, kiosks, etc). The only place where one will find ice creams of regional fruits (several of which not even Brazilians of other regions know about!). Try the "taperebá", "açaí", "tapioca", "graviola", among others.
Great ice cream. I'd like to have gone through all the flavors. They have regular ones like vanilla and regional ones like "maria isabel" and açaí. You'll feel like you want another scoop. Don't miss it!
Stop reading, mark it for a visit, that's it. You MUST taste: - Açaí with Tapioca (know as "Paraense"); - Cupuaçu and Brazilian nuts (a.k.a "Carimbó"); - Taperebá; - Murici; - Bacuri; - Uxi; - Mangaba; You Should too: - "Pavê de cupuaçu"; - "Milho verde"; - Brazilian nuts (aka "Castanha do Pará); - all others ;)
Really worth to try! Normally, when we travel abroad, we avoid to eat ice cream, but here, you really can trust the quality. Of e-ve-ry fruit of the Amazon, they have ice cream, and still, it’s just only one third of total offer. On different places in Belem you find kiosks (also at the Docas).
