Nice place, you can choose brazilian typical food of the Minas Gerais and other options. It is cheaper a dish for 2, than either one choose a dish. It is in the Historic Centre, near from Tiradentes square.

We came here for a late lunch after sightseeing all day, and it was great. The restaurant is big and beautiful, set on the top floor of one of the old colonial street-front houses. The menu is traditional Minas style food - meat, rice, beans - and was delicious. I can understand, however, how western taste might find it salty... More

The glowing reviews here are not justified. We ate in an nearly empty restaurant on a Saturday night (when other places were filled with locals) and were served salty, tasteless food with indifferent service. I was tempted to give it only one star but no one came down with food poisoning (which we had feared after we finished the meal).... More

I've been to this restaurant over 15 years ago and they are still marvelous! If you want to try the local cuisine on its original form, this is the place to go!!!

Food is excellent but be prepared to go feeling very hungry. Sensibly they offer dishes for one or two people but four of us could have eaten the local equivalent of Coq au Vin, which was delicious. It was served with rice, green cabbage and mashed corn which I had never had but would again. To start we had Caldo... More

A good, traditional Minas meal. Simple, generous portions, good service. Nice salad, and overall good quality.

We had a wonderful meal in this restaurant. Service was excellent, the lighting was perfect and the views from the balcony were fab. The food was good quality, we ate chicken and salad. The portions were huge. He salad starter could have served two as the main! Come hungry!

Went to this restaurant with a friend and really enjoyed it! As we were not sure about the size of the dishes, we've picked "feijao Tropeiro" for just one person and we almost couldn't eat the whole dish together, they serve quite huge dishes, therefore, if you are not that hungry you can easily share a dish with someone else.... Nice atmosphere! The gastronomy represents very well the typical food from the state. I've been there different times with my husband and we had a wonderful time! Delicious and properly cooked food!

We went there for lunch, had a tutu de feijao. It was OK, but not exceptional by any means. I expected better. But again, just like the other places we went to, price was consistent with quality, not overly pricey. So no grounds for complaints. I just wish there would be better places around.
