The old building is beautiful, with modern, but rustic charm inside. There was a good atmosphere. Dishes were presented very well and the menu had a good range of items. Wider than the usual Brazilian staples. The food could have been outstanding, but unfortunately, as is often the case in Brazil, it was far to salty. Part of my dish... More

Having added 10% service charge I had to request my change. As the waiter walked passed he threw it on the table. I have neve rexperienced such rudeness by a waiter. Unless you are prepared to pay 20% service charge I do not recommend this restaurant

The atmosphere is open and very lovely. Service attentive. One dish easliy serves 2 people, maybe 3. I can vouch for the Tutu Mineira - ground beans and mandioca with sides of rice, pork, sausage and the ever present fried fat (torrenos?). Reasonably priced and off the main tourist route. Just below the feira.

I have never written a review for a restaurant but this one deserved it! The food was just marvelous, possibly the best food I've eaten in any restaurant in Brazil so far. It is on the expensive side however, we paid about 30 € per person for a meal with wine, no dessert. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the... More

Beautiful place, but the food was not exactly tasty. I ordered fillet with potatoes and broccoli but everything was too salty. Dessert was very good, though: strawberry soup with vanilla ice cream. Staff was efficient, but not very friendly.

Dear Madam: Excuse me if my answer is not very clear, because I am using a translator of texts into English. Thank you for your evaluation, popis she is very helpful for us to improve the preparation of dishes from our restaurant. This October we installed a new computer system that is providing greater permanence of the waiter in the... More

We had a good experience here. The food is nice. We ate tornedor and ossobuco. Both are excelent choices. but the place is kind of expensive.

This was the first restaurant we went to in Ouro Preto. Following recommendation at our hotel just across the square. Location is good, service was very nice, food so so. My wife's trout was kind of dry. I had dried meat, which was kind of interesting but again not the best dish. Mineiro specialities not available for dinner, which is... More

Our two dinners were nicely prepared. I had the Osso Buco with risotto, my wife had the filet with risotto. The meat was tender and the risotto was flavorful. The chocolate ganache was an excellent dessert choice. For a "white table cloth" rather expensive restaurant, the service was cursory and not very attentive. The staff seems to be satisfied with... We had a very late lunch/ very early dinner where we could enjoy a fantastic view of Ouro Preto from the lovely 2nd floor dining room of Bene da Flauta. We shared an Osso Bucco, the codfish specialty dish and a mozzarella salad for 3 which was plenty enough. All 3 dishes were very good and especially the Osso Bucco... More

This is probably the best restaurant in town. The upstairs dining room has magnificant views of the town and the nearby church. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great. The food was pretty good and they did not have any problems for us sharing a main dish (although normally genuinely for one).
