My friend from Switzerland lives in Ouro Preto and took us to Bene da Flauta for an awesome get together. It was my mother's 64 b-day and she's pretty picky with restaurants. Well, after the great food and drinks, she is all about compliments! Plus, the venue is incredibly decorated. We had a very good experience and highly recommend that... More

This is a lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting. The menu has good choice and also the wine list. We chose some typical Mineiro dishes and really enjoyed them - well flavoured, a bit different from some of the other offerings we have experienced around Brazil. Service is attentive and not intrusive

Ate dinner here once whilst staying in Ouro Preto. The views were stunning and the food was good. The service was also good although there was a problem with the waiter not speaking English and our choice of menu was not understood. The washrooms were not very well maintained however.

The old building is beautiful, with modern, but rustic charm inside. There was a good atmosphere. Dishes were presented very well and the menu had a good range of items. Wider than the usual Brazilian staples. The food could have been outstanding, but unfortunately, as is often the case in Brazil, it was far to salty. Part of my dish... More

Having added 10% service charge I had to request my change. As the waiter walked passed he threw it on the table. I have neve rexperienced such rudeness by a waiter. Unless you are prepared to pay 20% service charge I do not recommend this restaurant

The atmosphere is open and very lovely. Service attentive. One dish easliy serves 2 people, maybe 3. I can vouch for the Tutu Mineira - ground beans and mandioca with sides of rice, pork, sausage and the ever present fried fat (torrenos?). Reasonably priced and off the main tourist route. Just below the feira.

I have never written a review for a restaurant but this one deserved it! The food was just marvelous, possibly the best food I've eaten in any restaurant in Brazil so far. It is on the expensive side however, we paid about 30 € per person for a meal with wine, no dessert. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the... More

Beautiful place, but the food was not exactly tasty. I ordered fillet with potatoes and broccoli but everything was too salty. Dessert was very good, though: strawberry soup with vanilla ice cream. Staff was efficient, but not very friendly.

Dear Madam: Excuse me if my answer is not very clear, because I am using a translator of texts into English. Thank you for your evaluation, popis she is very helpful for us to improve the preparation of dishes from our restaurant. This October we installed a new computer system that is providing greater permanence of the waiter in the... More

This was the first restaurant we went to in Ouro Preto. Following recommendation at our hotel just across the square. Location is good, service was very nice, food so so. My wife's trout was kind of dry. I had dried meat, which was kind of interesting but again not the best dish. Mineiro specialities not available for dinner, which is... More
