A favorite indeed in Belo Horizonte. Go early or reserve otherwise you may not get a table. I went with a Brazilan colleague and it is one of the preferred restaurants to take his wife. A place for the beautiful people so dress smart.

the food was totally bad! we spend on night going to the bathroom! If you do not want to waste one day of your trip wave this place!

Enjoyed the food but we arrived on a busy night and found ourselves in an ugly room at the back whose major function seemed to be the route to the men's washroom.

Don't get me wrong, the food is very good. The atmosphere is nice. What brings the rating down is the overall service. Depending on the night, the place can get pretty crowded. The food does not come out as something truly special or unique. And the place is bloody expensive. But the atmosphere...it has something special...great bottle of malbec! Picanha not one of the best I got in town...

A very sophisticated menu and the food was great. Service was fantastic. The menu changes frequently so it is always nice to have a little variety. I have been here several times over the last 6 months and the food has been great every time. Good selection of wines too.

The food and atmosphere are very good. If you want a more formal experience similar to a good US restaurant this is a good choice. It is a bit expensive and the dining experience will take a bit longer than a simple place but the food is good

I had two dinners at A Favorita. The Badego ( fish) was quite nice, but the filet mignon was poorly cooked and had to be sent back to the kitchen.
