Not only the fish is amazing, but the staff is polite and prepared, the atmosphere is nice and cozy, prices are reasonable and portions serve a couple, and Joao is a hard working guy that wants to guarantee you will come back. Lovely.

There was a flyer at out Pousada reception for this place, which made me think it would be a tourist rip off. But Bonito isn't exactly jumping in April - in fact it looks like a very one-eyed town at any time of year - and this seemed the only viable choice. And it turned out to be a good... More

My wife and I have Eaten here twice. Both times it was fantastic. The first time we eat fish. It tasted delicious and the second time we eat grilled filet mignon and again we had a superb meal. We can recommand casa do joao the every one.

Expected more after reading all reviews. Fried fish leads the menu. Good atmosphere, excellent service and fair price. Food is ok - average... don't expect innovative tastes.

After seeing all the hype about the place, we decided to go there for dinner. We arrived early and it was definitely worth doing so, as after a while it was already with waiting area. The food was nice, but not amazing. The steak with mango sauce was quite good, but mainly due to the sauce (which is counterintuitive).

A very vivid restaurant. Recommended by our guide. No clue if the restaurant was filled with locals or tourists. But the atmosphere was great. Good service. And the food was great. Good portions and good flavour. Would love to visit it again.

A nice place! The waiters, works very well and all your orders will come faster. We were 40 people and all of ours ordered was great! Ask for a beet cheps. Is delicious! It's coming with some main dishes. They have a small shop there and you can buy some souvenirs, good prices too.
