"Proper" coffee...

Have to say I was kind of unimpressed with the coffee in Brazil. I know, I know, I'm probably a complete philistine, but I just wanted a proper latte in a cup bigger than a thimble. And then I discovered Bagels n' a cup. Well, I say "discovered". It was actually 20 metres from the front door of my... read more

Very small place locates near the Melia hotel. Ingredients are fresh, service is very fast and the portions are smaller than brazilian standards (this is a compliment!). You can have a good salad and a bagel sandwich and you will have a great meal. Value is good for this area and this quality of food! Pros Location Quality Cons Only... More

Splendid food! An inviting staff to all tourists, which speak both Portuguese and English. The atmosphere is good, just like the delicious orange juices that we got. I really like the egg bagel and their yogurt. That was impressive!

A bit hidden, stumbled over it second last day in Brasilia, and we were so happy! Best coffee, nice bagels, great juices, very friendly staff, a must visit when in Brasilia craving a coffee!

Fantastic Espresso from this place, but the bagels need a little work. (Normally the case when they're not from NYC!) The people who work there are great, and speak English if needed!

Dear Rick T Thank you very much for the review. Our aim is to always improve and we always welcome inputs. Please fell free to email us on contact@bagelsnacup.com . Our bagels are artisanal, organic and have a touch of european as well as american bagels. The closest to the american would be the plain one. Hope to see you... More

I am a regular visitor in Brasilia, and often I stay at Melia 21 (a great hotel). The next-door neighbor is Bagels n' a cup, and I am a regular lunch guest there. Their american coffee (the closest to Starbucks that I found here) and their Bacon and egg bagel, makes my day. They have a second floor, excellent for... More

Stopped here for a bagel: very tasty and the staff were friendly and helpful (menus are in English) - I tried one of their teas which was also excellent - plus they give it to you in a large mug - hurrah - and plenty of it.

The name Bagel n' a Cup and the lovely yellow and green decor drew me in but the food and staff will keep me coming back. I came in at lunch and I started with the "cup" of chocolate milk. It arrived with aplomb with whip cream and chocolate sprinkled on top. The chicken barbecue bagel arrived moments later all... More

This is a great new spot in town which is also probably the only place that you can find bagels. It misses on not offering to toast it and on the businnes hours (it basically opens from 9 til 5, and never on a Sunday).

Dear Anne E, Thank you very much for your comments. In regards of offering to toast the bagels we are more than happy to do so, but we believe that the quality of the bagels can be affected; meaning they might be dry when toasted in a toaster. Therefore we do not own a toaster. However, when guests request the... More
