Fine restaurant, but a bit dated

Very good service, great food, close to Central Bank, etc. The decor is a bit dated (1970s?) and overly-clubby, but I had a great meal with no complaints.

This is the best steak I've ever had. Period. The food was amazingly good, not only mine, but all the other people that came with me (6) too. In addition, the service is exceptionally good. The restaurant is SUPER FANCY, most of the politicians in Brasilia eat there... It's expensive, but not super expensive. I mean, the value is really... More

There are restaurants that have the ability, charm and competence to make you really feel at home; Piantella is like this. The mix of tradition, hospitality and very good food makes me think of this restaurant as a place to go again and again, and again. A superb wine menu, unforgetable dishes like Steak Moscovita, Fetuccini with Large Srimps or... More

This is probably the most traditional restaurant in Brasilia, favored by politicians. Service is really good, but the food is not good enough for what they charge. Been there three times, and all of them was disappointed with what they served. It is an ok place for business lunches, because of the good location and all, but that's it.

This was recommended as a traditional place. Yes, we did see a table with politicians but in Brasilia that's quite common. The food was good, the drinks were yummy too, not sure if its worth the high price but in Brazil good food is always overpriced!

Nice food. Be careful with the maitre off the menu suggestions. They are priced above the menu options.

Apart from always seeing some politician having lunch here, they serve a very pleasant cuisine at Piantella, as they have been doing for years now. Very expensive, but Brazil seems to have lost common sense when it comes to prices... They will get back to real life someday.

Expensive but worth it! Quite exclusive. Compares to the best restaurants in Europe. Definitely 5 stars!

Piantella became famous in town because of the usual presence of politicians in there. But that is not the only reason for that fame: food is really good, staff is very kind, formal, educated, gentle, and the environment is very pleasant to stay. They also have a great selection of wine.

Piantella has been around forever. It is a favourite watering hole for politicians, journalists, diplomats etc, especially at lunchtime. The food is good, but in my view not spectacular. The wine list is supposed to be fantastic. Prices are quite high. Frankly, it is more a place for the above-mentioned well-heeled crowd than for tourists staying in Brasilia for a day... More
