Very good food and very classic style

Seems very traditional restaurant with old fashion decoration and white paper table cover. The selection of food is huge and most famous Moqueca was great! Selection of wine was good with very friendly prices.... Food a little but expensive. Service friendly a efficient!

Pirão is considered one of the best seafood restaurants in Vitória. Specialized in "moqueca", the tradicional dish of the State, is the choice of families and businessmen for a good maeal. If You want to try the moqueca, ask for the one with the fish "badejo" and ask the waiter for one with very white meat. The entree of fried shrimps... More

One of the most traditional restaurants of Vitória, Pirão (inspired by the nickname of the owner) will serve you a typical moqueca capixaba, actually one of the best. Moqueca is the most traditional plate of the state of ESPIRITO SANTO. Do not expect fancy service or a luxurious interior (although the service is great and informal and the place is... More

My first visit to Brazil, and after several restaurants, I found Pirao in Vitoria to have the best Moqueca on the planet. Fresh, tender seafood in a mouth-watering base of onions, peppers, and tomatoes, savory and delicious beyond any expectation that you might have. The restaurant is simple and plain, no frills, and none are needed when you have Moqueca... More

I have been to this restaurant many times and never had a bad experience with their food. Inasmuch as there are cheaper option in the city, none are as good as this one. I recommend the moquecas, which are outstanding. They do have other plate options, but none are as good as the Moquecas and you can get them just... More

When in Vitoria/ES you must stop by at Pirão... you'll find a very and taste food. The dish serves 2 hungry person or 3 regular ones whit fresh fish and big shrimps. The ambiance is not fancy but you'll feel more like at your kitchen which is always a good place to be. The waiters doesn't have a fixed zone... More

This is a nice restaurant located in the "triangle" in Vitoria, a restaurant area, the hotel suggested that we should try the "Moquqeca" at this fine establishment, we were not disappointed, however we were only two, it looked like a portion for 4 or more. Excellent food, very good service, I highly recommend this fine establishment. They do not accept... More

What a dinner!!! The moqueca with Badejo fish and shrimps was well served for 2. It was delicious! Pirão is the name and a side dish too, I can tell that it was the best pirão I've ever tried! The place is old and not really cozy, it's got hundreds of pictures on the walls showing Brazilian celebrities.

Try the moqueca de camarão, a regional specialty, but be prepared to pay a premium price, especially if you choose the one with the extra large shrimp, which, sadly, are over cooked to the point of displeasure. And you should have a strong stomach tolerance for dendé oil, as you will be ingesting a fair bit of this stuff with... More

Excellent brazilian fish soup, with ocean fresh fish, shrimps, crabs and many other - the secret is that everything is fresh, maximum two days old - perfect service and good price for an unforgettable lunch or dinner - don't miss it
