We went on a slow Monday night. Octavio provided prompt and attentive service. Hunan duck, Singapore noodles and vegetables were well prepared. A pleasant meal.

We've been acquainted with the owners and their parents' previous restaurants. The food is very good at GingerRootz. If you want truly authentic, traditional Chinese food, you need to go to a large city like Chicago, Minneapolis/St. Paul, NYC or San Fran. The owners are sisters who are quite conscientious and take their business seriously. One reviewer concluded that one... More

4 retired work friends get together about every 6 weeks and ate at Gingerrootz today. I had a shrimp special and it was superb. A friend had them do a dish with shrimp instead of chicken and they made the change, no fuss and he really enjoyed it. Service from arriving to parting was excellent. We often change restaurants but... More

I have been here a hundred times and will eat here any chance I get! I love thier food and I've never had a bad meal here. I LOVE their Customize A Bowl menu items. The absolute best is the tofu noodles (made in house) with the curry sauce (made in house) with double vegetables. I love how the veg... More

Gingerootz always comes up when we are deciding where to eat. We love the friendly service, happy hour specials, freshly prepared food, and atmosphere. The menu has changed, but they are wonderful about making things that have been removed from the menu, like the tempura pumpkin roll for example. My favorites are the wonton soup and Japanese golden tofu. The... More

Went here for dinner with a group of 4.The atmosphere is great, very relaxed. Service was good but the food was lacking flavor, almost boring. Nothing really to rave about. Prices were good so at least it wasn't a total let down. Next time I'm in the mood for Asian food, I will have it delivered to my door instead.

We were immediately seated in this crowded restaurant. Our waiter appeared with explanations of the menu and answered questions. He was very attentive, checking on us regularly but not pushy. The food was great, delicious and attractive. Atmosphere was typical of an Asian establishment; the restaurant was exceptionally clean. We left with a very positive attitude and vowed to each... Sushi was so so. The other food we had was so lackluster I can't remember what we had. So many other choices in Appleton. Plus atmosphere is cold.

We visited the restaurant for an evening meal expecting the same good service we'd had in the past. We were only a group of 5, so it shouldn't have been a problem. Service was slow and the server, didn't seem too interested. The food was pretty good, but not fantastic. There are better asian restaurants in the valley.

I've never been as impressed as others with Gingerootz. The food is quite good, but in my opinion, not as good as Dong Po restaurant in Appleton. Every time I've been there, it has been very, very crowded. I've tried to get a drink in the bar multiple times, but there has never been room to sit and I haven't... More
