Do the beer sampler and cheese curds and call it a night! Cool energy and great vibe! The beer is all great favorite was the Indian pale ale.

Had a beer and dinner at the bar. The beer was pretty good. I had the Scottish ale. It wasn't very strong for a Scottish ale, but i liked it. Sampled a couple more and it seemed like they knew what they were doing. The food was very good. Had the Jager Schnitzel with spaetzel. They did a good job.... More

You sat down, and I was a good 5 minutes before the waiter greeted us. I am pretty patient, but with 2 sulky teenagers, it was not good. The cheese curds & buchestta were very good apps. I got the baked haddock with sweet potato fries.

My husband and I stopped here for supper around about 6PM on a weeknight during EAA. We knew it would be good based on the unimposing sign and entrance and the packed parking lot. We had a short wait for a table - about 15 minutes - not at all unreasonable considering it was a busy time of year and... More

I was in town visiting a friend and she suggested trying this place out since she knows how much I enjoy craft beer. We tried the beer sampler and enjoyed trying them all out. I found I enjoyed the IPA and their stouts. She really enjoyed their English ale and pilsner. For food we had the cheese curds(wonderful) and I... More

I love the Stone Cellar for its honest, good job. It makes delicious beers, simple and delicious pizzas, and delectable cheese curds. It doesn't pretend to be more than it is. That is always appealing to me. Go and get your favorite style of brew and a checkerboard cut pizza. reasonable prices. Friendly service.

As others have said, it is in a very cool location and the restaurant has a great underground feel because you are in a stone cellar...and it is underground! This is our 2nd visit as we come to Appleton once a year. Last year they blew the doors off us, this year there was a bit of a miss here... More

I'm not a beer drinker so I can only comment on the food. It's a diverse menu with many items you will be craving later! We have yet to try something that we have not liked. The service is prompt, and the waitstaff are friendly and knowledgeable. My husband and I were there Saturday night (EXTREMELY busy due to EAA... More

I've eaten here a number of times. You walk in and it's darker and somewhat ominous so you wonder if you should be eating here but... you should, so sit your bum down. Great food! Took out of town guests here and we all enjoyed ourselves. The elk burger was delicious. Great old fashions. Friendly staff who helped us beer-novices... More

Stopped in a Friday evening. A bit crowded, but didn't take too long to sit down. Tried several of their own beers and they were all good. The New Orleans pizza was really good. I'd come back!
