Close and cozy!

We live just 15 minutes from Mark's East Side. I know, because one evening I left my credit card in the bill envelope, and their call alerting me was waiting as I returned home. So I set the timer on my I-phone and went back to retrieve my credit card, which was safely stored in the office. I... read more

I ate here one evening at the recommendation of TripAdvisor. I saw a lot of rave reviews but didn't understand what was so great. The staff was pleasant and receptive but nothing over the top. Additionally, the food was good but not a memorable culinary experience. This is not a negative review, just saying that my experience was acceptable at... More

I've eaten here twice -- once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times I ordered the wiener schnitzel -- super flavorful and a great value. A word of caution -- the full portion is HUGE. The spaetzle was a tad salty for my taste, but the red cabbage was excellent. Their wine prices are outstanding (very little markup), with... More

This is a fantastic place for the evening out without the kids, even if it is not a special event. Not that children are not welcome, but it is a great place for an evening for the two of you especially when one has had a rough day or mom doesn't want to cook. Food is always outstanding. German food... More

The portions are generous and the food is very good. I have never had a bad meal here and they have different specials all the time that are simply delicious. I have had their steaks, fish and seafood and have liked them all. Their clam chowder on Fridays is some of the best made in the area. Haven't tried any... More

From the owner who wanders around checking to see if all is good to the friendly and professional bartenders and waitstaff Marks is tops! Oh and of course the food is great too! At lunch we like the salad bar or the soup and sandwich special, or I love the Mahi sandwich! They have good Friday fish fries if you... More

I had lunch here with a group of coworkers right around Christmas. Although the restaurant was packed, the service was very prompt and friendly and our food came out surprisingly quick. There were 8 in our party & it seemed we each ordered something different. The German specials looked mouthwatering but I opted for a turkey bacon wrap with the... More

Family owned, a nice place for steaks, seafood, and Mark's german recipes. It's busy on weekends, so make a reservation or get there early.

The bar gets packed, but the wait is half the fun. Fun crowd, awesome cocktails, tasty home-brewed dark beer, and the food....YUM. We visit at least once per trip when we care visiting Appleton for family or business. Never disappoints and only gets better.

We went here around the lunch hour with about 10 of us for work. The service was great and even the owner came by to check on us and fill waters since they were busy. Waitress was friendly and efficient. They have a huge menu with a variety of options as well as an a salad bar with amazing popovers.... More
