The atmosphere is dark wood and perhaps by current standards, a little dated. I find it to be warm and inviting. Along with well poured drinks, they offer an appetizer buffet. This includes cheese, crackers, vegetables, herring, liver paste and bologna salad. As the name states, this is a steakhouse, and the steaks are excellent. No one in our group... More

I visit Appleton almost every year for work, we usually go to George's one of the evenings for dinner. The food at George's is predictably awesome! They have the best food and service, they really know how to take care of a group too. The steaks are always cooked to perfection, if you like rare you can get it, well... More

Always have loved this place and never had a bad experience. When you go, go early as it does get busy fast. Enjoyed a drink in the lounge which has a piano bar as well. There is a small appetizer station to "wet" the appetite...not a large selection, but fresh and healthy. Then you get soup and salad if you... More

We were a group of 5, 3 Generations. Service was always poor, but we liked the steaks, Service was very bad, drinks took forever. The thing that was the last straw was the screaming children.

We visited this restaurant the Saturday before Easter this year. We had reservations early. Still had to wait to be seated. Service was ok...friendly. Food was poor. Steak was tough, salad was tasteless. Choice of soup came with the meal...several of us ordered French Onion Soup. I have NEVER had French Onion soup without cheese melted on top...this soup was... After talking about trying Georges for years, we finally made it! So sorry that we hadn't gone sooner! From the moment that you walk in the door you can tell that it has a beautiful supper club appeal. Our stay at the bar was short as we had gotten there early, but service was very good. So were the cocktails!... More

We came as a group of 4. We had to wait for a while because we didn't have reservations. So we sat at the piano bar. Bill Steinert came in and started playing the piano and singing. We met a lot of wonderful people and we had a blast. It was so much fun we almost didn't want to leave... More

usually pretty good food but between the crappy service and the sub-par food including the crackers on the appetizer bar in a basket with no serving utensil " can we say fecal crackers"! or bringing me my blue crusted NY-strip with none of the blue cheese crusting and saying there out of it as they bring my the steak instead... Under cooked steak, no refills on soda, crowded and loud. Salads are bagged (grocery store cheap mix) soup is watery, appetizer bar is a joke. The hostess (older lady) is rude. Needs a good cleaning!

What a fantastic place. Even with our table having over 10 people at it our service was excellent and our food came out properly and timely. I had the diamond cut prime rib and it was some of the best I've ever had. All of the appetizers were good as well and dessert. Well those Brandy Alexander's sure are good!... More
