A full experience!!!!

You have to go there prepared to buy your fish or other seafood, but do not pay the first price, ask for a better price, you will be surprised, after you have your food you go to the other side and ask them to cook for you, order french fries and beer and you will have a WONDERFUL lunch, plenty... read more

They have about 16 different fish venders all lined up in what looks like train cars. Just pick one, and order what ever seafood you want by the kilo. You pay the vender. Then you bring your fresh seafood in the plastic bag the give you, and find a table at the large outdoor area. When a waitress finally comes... More

This is such a great place to eat, very local feel to it. The food was very tasty and very cheap. You buy the fish or shimp fresh and take it to the kitchen area where they cook it and bring it to you for a small price. Ate here many times while in Foraleza, the shimp were amazing!

The local rave about the fish market at Mucuripe but really although the food is good since you get the fresh shrimp and fish, it is nothing fancy at all. However, if you want to eat well and save money or if you like to see how the locals eat and celebrate this is the place to go. You buy... More

I used to by fish and shirimp at Mercado do Mucuripe but I have noticed that the fishermen try to give you the worst they have.

We are not sure whether we can call the "mercado" - a restaurant... The view is breathtaking (especially at sunset) and the "bring your own fish" system is quite interesting; We found the food preparation as quite simple and greasy; Great experience.

One of the best places to eat in Fortaleza, if not the best. You buy whatever you want in the market (fish, shrimp, octopus) and take it to one of the shacks to have it cooked. Everything is very fresh, as you'd expect in a fish market in the seaside, but it's also very cheap. Two people can easily eat... More

To eat at “Mercado do Peixe do Mucuripe” (Mucuripe Fish Market) is not only an incredible but also worthwhile experience. I would not say it was the best place I have being in Fortaleza, because Fortaleza has fantastic restaurants, but this sure was one of the best. In the end or the begging (depends where you come from) of Beira... More

Best place ever! Buy your shrimp, lobster and fish at "BOX 11" and go to "Alexandre box" to eat. Choose a good table close to the sea and apreciate the sunset! Advice: arrive early (like 4pm).
