Huge portions

A good seafood restaurant within a few blocks from the Hotel Gran Marquise. We had the “Moqueca Tropical” which was quite all right, but such a huge portion that the two of us could not finish it off. Better go there in threes or fours, they do not serve smaller portions. Service was excellent.

I've heard a lot about this place so I was looking foward to try it. What a disappointment, the food was just ok nothing to write home about, the restaurant inside is big and spacious but it was full of fruit flies, the curtains were really dirty and at the end it was quite price. Definitely I am not going... More

If you are looking for sophisticated food, Coco Bambu is probably not for you. Most of their food is based on popular dishes. Their dishes can be normally shared by 2 or more, which leads to very reasonable prices. Quality of the ingredients, service and ambience are very good, so expect waiting for tables if you arrive at rush hours.... More

This is a very good restaurant, just by the sea. Food is excellent, and portions are so big that can easily be enough for 3 people. I never go there alone, because I've not discovered so far anything on the menu that is in fact for one person only. The restaurant is very nice and very pleasant, on either the... More

Beautiful seafood just in front of the beach. A bit too fancy, but it's ok. We can have a calm and tasteful lunch.

Bring your family - the plates are really big! I order a kids plate what I normally don't do because he is a big eater, but for my surprise he only ate half of his spaghetti and was full. That plate was enough for two adults! I also ordered the Camarao Internacional (International Prawns). They said it was enough for... More

CocoBambu is an excellent choice if you are willing to have a nice seafood meal in a cozy environment. Although informal is relatively expensive for brazilian standards, and actually cheap for those who have dollars and euros. Don't expect to find lonely women there. Is a family place. Any dish serves 2 or even 3.

They specialize in seafood and I have enjoyed everything that I have had here. The spacious restaurant has a number of different areas for dining, from the ample open-air terrace to an air-conditioned salon. You can choose from a wide selection of fish, meat and salads. The good seafood is served on large portions.

It's been three days since my wife and I are at this place and we are still talking about how good this meal was. Our first night in Brazil and I wanted some good seafood - this place delivered. The shrimp in coco sauce with perfect sticky rice. Yum!
