Very Good place to stay. Magnificent breakfast. The shower could be better! There is a restaurant which food is well recognized.

i expected more but the food was good tough. The service is good as well. The thing i liked to most was the "dessert" that came together with the coffee I ordered. It was "brigadeiro" made of "capim santo" - a must if you are having an expresso afar your main meal.

This is a restaurant within a small hotel concept, just off the amazing "Quadrado" square of Trancoso. However you better enter via the exotic garden instead of the main Quadrado entrance. The restaurant is divided in a series of terraces and rooms around swimming pool and gardens, extremely charming. Service by good-looking girls and boys is friendly, but you better... More

We did not eat at the restaurant, but had a very memorable cocktail at their bar. The bartenders make a wonderful caipirinha and love to share their history of the Trancoso area!

Food was not as good as I anticipated from all the raving reviews. Maybe that night was just unusual. They forgot our appetizer and we waited (while drinking our bottle of wine) without any food, 1 hr later food appears! The "Capim Santo Shot", a non-alcoholic drink from the locals, was the best thing we had here. Must taste it!

Feels like a warm, welcoming home until the food arrives..... You don't get food like this st home! Creative, caring, clean and absolutely delicious. Best in Trancoso by far .

We dined at Capim Santo twice during our four night stay in Trancoso because we loved the food and the atmosphere so much. It's a gorgeously romantic spot. The mushroom and mozzarella risotto balls are a fabulous starter - real mozzarella, which we found was lacking in Brazil. The seafood mains are divine.I tried the prawns with coconut milk, ginger and coriander and rice on... The Capim Santo restaurants, here and in S.Paulo, have a name for good food with a Brazilian emphasis. Our visit to the Trancoso restaurante confirmed this reputation but without quite the "wow" that we might have expected. The restaurant opens at 17:00 and we were there shortly after for a late lunch/early dinner. The dining room is spread out in... More

Capim Santo never changes. That is one of its great charms. Its menu allows you to taste a variety of excellent dishes and you can just as easily choose from excellent cerviche, fried rice balls or shrimps as have a full dinner plate. Drinks are excellent and the service is smooth without being obtrusive. Prices are on the high side... More

The title says it all. The restaurant has a nice setting, next to the pousada. The food is good, service excellent and prices as in São Paulo (but this is the same as in the rest of Trancoso). The food is served with thought for visual. Take the fish...
