This is a very attractive, up-market venue with river views. Outdoor tables (weather permitting) or indoor by windows are preferred. Service is prompt, skillful and accomodating. Bread service is a nice touch but startlingly expensive (be warned, you'll get no warning from the waiter). Food, all selections, was good but we didn't feel it was quite up to the expectations... This is BY FAR the best restaurant in all of Salvador. We went to a number of top rated restaurants in the city during our World Cup trip, but nothing came even remotely close to Amado! This restaurant has everything! From the beautiful view (whether you sit outside on the deck overlooking the water or inside overlooking the water through... More

One of the top restaurants in Salvador. It's almost unnecessary to mention the great architecture and ambience of the place. Great. If it's not too hot or if you're having dinner, it may be nice to try and get a table outside. Otherwise if you prefer the air conditioning, go for a place at the window. Once settled, try the... In front of the marina, near the sunset you find an orange building that doesn't look like much... But do come in, eat and enjoy! Fisherman's meal is spectacular, the mozzarella ravioli is with it! Ambience, architecture and food!

Amado is by far the best restaurant we tried in Salvador. Great atmosphere (try getting a table outside by the sea). Superb service, amazing food (the crab and the smoked duck carpaccio were outstanding) and great drinks (with a decent, if very expensive, wine menu. A must in Salvador.

Wow this place was over the top. Great wines to choose from, the food and service were top notch. No problem communicating with the servers in either English or Spanish. First Class Place.

Getting there, for the first-time visitors from abroad, mustn't be on food: please come and leave by car/taxi! The old warehouse, which looks pretty much like a big hollow brick building, was finely turned into an elegant and cosy spot of great ambience, where one does feel at ease and welcome. Service is rather slow and bumpy at times, one... More

There are a very good restaurant, nice place, correctly service but is not a unforgettable restaurant. Is considered the best in Salvador and probably yes, but can't be compared with the similar prices in São Paulo. I will be back

Excelent ambience, I strongly recommend the lenguado with palm risotto and the cheese cake, superb! Exquisite decoration that matches the first rate attention and staff kindness, while lookimg at the boats and fishermen at the bay. Fine wine, good price/quality rate. Hoghly recommended.
