Good meal, shame about the wine!

As others have said, a lovely setting and very romantic. However, I would recommend going late rather than earlier for atmosphere as we went at 7.30pm and there was only one other couple there. The acoustic guitarist/singer was very good, but you do feel the pressure of having to applaud every song... read more

It was very quiet when we went (live bands were playing, so everybody was outside rather than in large garden at the back of a building). It was worth going & paying more as everything was great. Highly recommended

We wandered in here and were somewhat taken by the garden atmosphere. We saw only a few occupied tables so we figured we could get our food fairly quickly. However it took a long time for each step in the process. The grouper was overcooked and not flavored and the accompaniements were unappealing. The filet mignon was overcooked. The chicken... More

We had dinner here as it was recommended in our guide book and chose the prawns in coconut- absolutely delicious- and a sort of traditional prawn curry which was out of this world. The food was plentiful, the setting in a lovely garden, and service great. Shame the chairs weren't a bit more comfortable!

Set just of the main square down an attractive side street, entering Jardim is entering another world. Tables set in recesses and alcoves, antiques on the wall, photos of celebrities who have visited and to crown it all, the courtyard garden and a candlelit meal. Menu was a bit baffling although we are not first time visitors to Brazil, but... More

We found this restaurant on recommendatin by our hostel owner when seeking places friendly for vegetarians to eat. The entrance off the street leads you through the restaurant and into a beautiful, cosy courtyard with musicians playing - a quiet subtle contrast to the blaring Samba drums kicking off outside! Drinks were good though expensive, and service was English speaking... More

The food was excellent, the patio totally great. A perfect dining experience. There even was music! The service was agreeable. No criticism!

Loved the food and the surroundings in this hidden back garden restaurant in the heart of Salvador's old town. The service was poor and slow - think this was because of the world cup - but they were not prepared. Would recommend for the food and setting.

I broke my cardinal rule and ate at a place where the waiters wait on the street to grab you and I almost instantly regretted it. The decor and garden are nice enough but the food is mediocre at best for the prices they are charging. Not to mention when I went at lunch they were out of almost everything... More

The garden's atmosphere is nice, but the room inside is dusty and old, with sad equipment. In my opinion, the food is bradley cooked. I ate a filet mignon, not juicy and dry, served with spaghetti filled with a liquid garlic souce..
