The garden's atmosphere is nice, but the room inside is dusty and old, with sad equipment. In my opinion, the food is bradley cooked. I ate a filet mignon, not juicy and dry, served with spaghetti filled with a liquid garlic souce..

Go for the garden, not the food. Definitely not the service. god help you if you are very thirsty. Eat and drink before you go. Service is astonishingly slow. Tip:- don't let waiter leave your table until you check, your order, the food delivered. cutlery, drinks, napkins etc etc. Waiter hides from customers. Other waiter stays out on street to... More

Jardim des Delicias was a highly recommended restaurant in Salvador, yet my experience was very disappointing. I ordered the bacalao, a traditional fish meal that I ate before in other places and knew I would like. It came charred. It was black around the edges. The restaurant should not serve bacalao that way. If I were at home with an... More

We were the first in the restaurant, but even then the service was terrible. Asked for a water and a beer while we waited for the menus, both eventually arrived warm. Staff seemed totally disinterested in serving and we were eventually joined by two other couples who both walked out after staying for 15 to 20 minutes with no service.... More

As the name might suggest, there's a very nice garden at the back of the smallish restaurant which is great to spend an evening in. The food was good enough, and certainly filling. It's not place I can rave about, but it's a place I could go back to again as it's, as I said, just a pleasant place to... More

The best one we had, anyway. All different kinds, beautifully full of fresh seafood. Great drinks and a lovely atmosphere.

The first thing that strikes you about Jardim is the setting of the outdoor dining courtyard, sunken amidst several decaying colonial buildings, eerily lit, with vines and tropical plants all around. It's cool; it feels like something out of Disneyland, except for the fact that its authentic. A very good Brazilian singer with a guitar unobtrusively accompanied our meal. The... More

I've read good comments about Jardim das delícias and went there to have dinner with my boyfriend. We were extremely disappointed with the food and the high prices charged for it. He asked a shrimp specialty and it only tasted pineapple ! The shrimp came inside a pineapple, the sauce was made of pineapple and the rice was full of...pineapple... More

During our trip around Brasil, me and my friends decided to treat ourselves with a nice restaurant. After checking our guidebooks, we went to Jardim Das Delicias. A couple of hours after our dinner, I had the worse food poisoning and had to go to the nearest hospital to get treatment. The place looks nice (patio, dining room etc.) but... More

Great food, great service, and lovely atmosphere in the back outdoor patio with nightly entertainment. Worth dining here. Menu is large enough to accommodate most tastes.
