Worth the high ranking!

This is a very good restaurant located in the Center of the Manaus. We got a table at the 2nd floor, with a nice view of the Teatro Amazonas. It was a quiet Sunday and the restaurant was still 80 percent filled up. We ordered the Grilled Tambaqui, (Personally, I think is the most delicious fish in... read more

This place was recommended to us by the tour company with whom we visited the Amazon. And we certainly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Manaus. The location is very good - overlooking Teatro Amazonas. When we visited in Dec, we were able to have dinner while enjoying the Christmas performance that was being staged outside the theatre. The... This restaurant is situated in the center of the tourist spot, the Amazon Opera House Square. But don't let that make you think this is some tourist trap :-) Tambaqui is kind of fish found in the Amazon river, loved by locals. This restaurants specializes in grilling the fish. When you order the dish "Tambaqui de Banda", they would grill... More

Its really a nice place with a good view near to the most famous Amazon theater and its really beautiful and nice to have a dinner or lunch there! Its a bit expensive and most of the time you have to wait more than 40 minutes to your plate but it's really delicious! recommend !

One of the best places to eat with the best view. No doubt it's the best location in downtown. The food is delicious and with a very good price. When you're there, look for the shirts of Caboquês Ilustrado ;)

Best Tambaqui fish I ate in Manaus! It's a great amazon fish, no bones, and the name "Banda" means it comes half of it - so it's pretty big! Even the small one is enough for 2 people. Price is also great. And don't forget to try the Taperebá juice (best amazon fruit ever).

This interesting restaurant is located a stone's throw from the Teatro Amazonas, which is reflected in the prices. The fish they serve is delicious (din't try any other dishes). One of their specialities, the 'Banda de Tambaqui', comes in different sizes, the 'small' being large enough for a filling lunch (it comes with many sides including beans, chopped tomato/onion, manioc... I had the Tambaqui de Banda and my boyfriend, who doesn't eat fish, had steak which he said was good. None of the staff spoke English and we don't speak Portuguese so when I ordered they couldn't tell me that the small Tambaqui de Banda is too much for one person! It was a lot of food but absolutely delicious,... More
