Went for lunch; I had the boneless tambaqui rib stew which was very good, with very interesting sauce and local greens. My wife had filet mignon, with rice, mashed potatoes and crunchy manioc--this was also a very good choice. The service was friendly but somewhat slow. Enjoyed fresh squeezed orange juice. While the menu listed a few wines by the... More

Even better than sayadia, if you've had that. The address for the restaurant on the main square, by the Teatro Amazonas is: Rua José Clemente, 596, Manaus Perhaps they are run by the same people? People seem to be reviewing the wrong location. Anyway, despite the confusion, I wanted to write a glowing review for the food I had at... More

I really enjoyed my meal at this restaurant. Nice service. Really reasonable prices and delicious food. The location is perfect. I'm not a big meat eater and didn't want a large meal, so I ordered two side dishes including beans and rice and fried egg w/ manioc flour. Both were delicious. I wish I'd asked for some kind of sauce... More

We ate here during the World Cup - it was after Brazil's 0-0 draw with Mexico, and there were a lot of very drunk people around! The place overlooks the Teatro Amazonas and the main square alongside, so consequently it was very crowded and service was painfully slow. We had to make do with a table indoors and upstairs, but... Ate here over the time of the World Cup when the square was very busy. Me & a friend shared a large Tambaqui fish and a few beers, not because that was necessarily what we wanted but because it was one of two things still available on the whole menu. However, the fish and sides were amazing. Fish ribs were... More

This place, located right off the main square by the Teatro Amazon, is absolutely fantastic. My wife and I shared a Large Tambaqui fish, with a couple of beers before heading to the Honduras vs Switzerland match. Sitting outside, listening to music and enjoying our food was the best meal we had in Manaus. This fish was delicious and the... More

I dont usually like fish, but tambaqui de band is a whole different thing. I loved it. No other place in the world you'll find fish with "ribs".

This place is right on the Opera House Square. Its signature dish is the local Tambaqui which any foodie will have to try.

I'm from Manaus and I must say there are other places you should try to have a great experience of eating traditional food. But still it is a comfortable climatization place and has very nice waiters. Beware when it's busy because it usually takes more than one hour to serve the food. You must pay attention that almost all dishes... More
